Alone… scared and alone… where did everyone go..?

Thoughts baring these words and sentences ran through glisten’s head, ichor filled tears ran down from his only eye, smudging what was left of his makeup.

He took staggered steps in a random direction, scanning the area for anything… anyone…. His struggled breathing filled the room, quiet but noticeable..

He rounded twists and turns of the hallways, the group who had been here, staying with him, keeping him company, had left. As they always do.

But it didn’t hurt any less, the disappointment was a repeated process.

Glisten’s gaze landed upon a capsule… it looked ordinary. like any other but glisten knew better, well.. he knew enough to know his dearest one, though twisted, was hiding in there.. and he was desperate for any kind of comfort.

He reached down, his ichor stained hand grazing the glass surface of the capsule…

nothing

Glisten paused.. why didn’t it open? Was it because he was also a twisted? Or was he too cold?.. He laid his hands on the capsule, still nothing.

then again

and again

and…

this is hopeless, isn’t it?

His hands dropped to his sides, lowering himself to the ground, then gently picking up the capsule, holding it in a desperate grasp.

Glistens eye gazed into the inky black of the ichor inside of it, praying, hoping, BEGGING, that his dearest, who was hiding inside would notice him.

(I’m so not sorry glisten lovers… or any reflective detective fan reading this 🧍)

He spoke out, in a trembling voice, slightly muffled by the ichor replacing his broken glass,

“ro..rodger… please…”

Glisten tightened his grip, curling up a bit, the hope already leaving his body with a shaky breath.

He rested his head on the capsule, closing his eye, small sobs escaping his mouth.

No one was here but him, not even his love even though he was SO close… there’s no happy endings for a twisted is there..?
