step one: refining the project
Percolate SF has been one of my most favorite projects I've had the opportunity of doing while being a part of the New Media department.
Percolate SF was branded and thought of to be the collection of San Francisco coffee professionals and enthusiasts sharing our collective passion for local specialty coffees, promoting the community, connecting purveyors to consumers, and celebrating the craft. For Percolate SF, I wanted to focus on creating and extending the atmosphere and experiences to the each of the elements, especially the virtual. The main focus being the on the community and the spreading of information about the local, specialty coffees of San Francisco.
SWTO of the Percolate SF
Strengths:
strong imagery
relatable content
large target audience
strong brand ideation
Weakness:
Process of interaction/passport
Thorough outlined, wireframe IA map
limited interactive elements within website design
poor responsive attributes to mobile
Threats:
adequate amounts of content
redefining wireframes to fit multiple case studies
structure/pace of class and curriculum
Opportunity:
continue to develop brand identity
extend content of the site and the functionality to provide a more holistic user experience
move from wordpress to a unique framework using Sass
end with an outlined process journal "template" that can be transformed into other projects
This project should be comprehensive study in both the technology and content. It excites me to be able to develop this project into something that can really stand out in my portfolio.
Let's get percolating!
