Should a good tahini halava have the texture of sawdust? I remember having sawdust textured halava as a kid, and my mom telling me that's how it should be and I grew to love it, and every time we got some halava that was creamer and didn't have the sawdust texture my mom seemed disappointed and sure enough I was also disappointed. Now im an adult and I just found out my local grocery store has halava and I got so excited and bought some and its the creamer kind that doesn't have the sawdust texture. And now im wondering if maybe it wasn't ever supposed to have that texture to begin with? Did I get bad halava or did I grow up with bad halava???
