Identifying features!
Pale blue Andorian skin that darkens to a navy blue on the fingertips OR a navy blue down from the wrists (depending on state of medications and injury)
Curly hair kept shaved on the right side and ear/chin length on the other; it’s a deep sapphire/navy blue with streaks of white.
Honey brown eyes with gold flecks
Dark blue Trill spots (full coverage) and freckles
Expressive Andorian antennae
Height varies! Finn was 5’9” before the accident. 6’ with larger heavy-duty mech cybernetic prosthetics, 5’10” with smooth light-duty humanoid foot attachments. Roughly 5'5” without prosthetics on.
Lieutenant commander rank pips (one black-filled and two gold) but if you see three gold pips, it’s because they have swapped uniforms with their bestie and are STILL waiting for the department head to notice.
Can and WILL present along a genderfluid scale. Sometimes masculine, sometimes a bit feminine, sometimes neither, sometimes both, but ALWAYS should be considered non-binary.
History!
Twitch streams will be taking place roughly near the year 2368. The second child of Zoue Finn (joined Trill) and Rass Th'zhaohrass (Andorian). The accidental death of Zoue Finn a few years prior on a shuttle trip left Lach as the only available and compatible host for the Finn symbiont. A parent-child host exchange is taboo on Trill (even with a mixed-race Trill) and, as such, Lach Finn has been designated outcast from Trill society* and is referred to with the “iel” suffix**. Rass no longer has a close relationship to Lach Finn-iel though he speaks to them when necessary; it is understandably uncomfortable for them to interact. The accident that took the life of host Zoue also damaged Finn’s legs, requiring the procurement of cybernetic prosthetics. A lieutenant commander in Star Fleet, LachFinniel is a xeno-cybernetic research scientist focused on cybernetic integration clinical studies. Stationed on the brand new Nova-class research ship U.S.S. Pollux, Finn and a small crew travel to planets of known members of the United Federation of Planets to engage in multi-race (and therefore multi-cultural and cross-species) testing and research to improve technological and organic relationships. Formerly a cognitive scientist, Lachfinn found a new calling after encountering stigma and shame from other cultures regarding the inclusion of cybernetic enhancements. Job duties include easing the process of organic beings with their mechanical additions but Finn’s passion for the process extends into private research regarding the therapeutic sessions for the mental process and cultural acceptance of said devices. * - This specific Trill taboo is of my own creation; this does not exist in the current Trek canon but is an extrapolation of the known taboo regarding discontinuing contact with loved ones from a former host’s lifespan. It stands to reason that the new child host would not be permitted to contact family members as the memories of the former relationships would be convoluted, confusing, and potentially repulsive. ** - The suffix is also of my own devising.
