Wish people would stop saying terrible things about "problematic" characters. They aren't ""real people"", but as a fictive that likes to go through tags, it's fuckin shitty to see so many people that I don't even know telling everyone how much they hate me. Even if that wasn't an issue, is it really so hard to not be so grateful? - a freeman's mind fictive
We might be a liiittle too high to be doing this, but fuck it, right? Well anyways we wanted to kinda spill our thoughts on the source material and all considering we handle it pretty well. I think if anything Gordon and Benry have had the hardest time due to their personal tensions, "hero" vs "villain" things (but we all know its deeper than that). Despite their tensions, everyone still considers Benry as apart of the Science Team, Gordon wouldn't admit it but deep down they do agree reluctantly.
This doesn't mean that Gordon is the only one who did or still sometimes struggles with xem. Benry also hurt them, in multiple ways, and considering they all care about Gordon hurting him was crossing the line a bit. Now Tommy and Benry were not friends before hand, they talked sometimes but before the events of the series, they were just well acquainted. During their time post res cas is when they really became friends, and after everything Tommy has been xer number one supporter in trying to integrate Benry back into the fold, Bubby being a surprisingly local enthusiast as well.
Besides the Boss Battle trauma, of course everything else is still pretty fresh, Gordon suffers the most about it, always been a guy who was hyped up on caffeine and anxious all the damn time so something this big and he couldnt just hold back? Let someone else take care of it? Nah yeah he was fucked from the start lmao. But he gets a lot of support from The Team, all being really sympathetic about it, even Bubby gets a little soft sometimes. (Side note the mental image of him showing bubbly joy is, horrifying, dont do that /lh)
And a personal message from Benry, I think you/yall deserve an apology. Look im real sorry, I didn't want or uh really think this would all happen. I dont think yave gotta forgive me, that sounds right, and you haveuh free will to think of me however.
