I'd just like to take a minute to recognize that we've been together an entire half a year now. Like how crazy is that? I feel like I've known you my whole life, how is it that I only met you 6 months ago? You've literally changed my life since becoming apart of it and I can't thank you enough for everything that you've done for me. If someone would have come up to me at this time last year, a couple weeks before turning 18, and told me I'd meet an incredibly compassionate, beautiful girl who was everything I'd ever wanted I already would have said you were crazy. Now add that she'd actually fall in love with me too? I seriously would've thought you were on some kind of drugs. I hadn't been out all that long and I wasn't very secure in my sexual orientation, like I knew it was how I felt but I wasn't really confident about it. It's hard to explain. But up until then I seemed to only fall for girls who couldn't love me back (haha #straight girl crushes suckkkkk 😫) so I had this idea that I was never going to find someone who I was good enough for. I like to think I'm pretty self-aware, so I acknowledge that I have issues which would make a relationship with me more difficult than with other girls. But this self-awareness usually turns into self-hatred and I just was convinced no girl out there would ever love me because I was too complicated or broken or whatever. But then in early August of last year, a couple weeks before moving to college, I met you. While I hate myself for my initial impression of you (shut up 🙄😅) I'm glad that your initial impression of me wasn't what I was so convinced it would be. This relationship that we've built together over the past 6 months is truly special and I can't imagine having anything like it with anyone else. I don't want to. I want to spend the rest of my life with you ❤ I want to stand at the altar with you and tell you how much you mean to me and how I'll always love and cherish you in front of all the people we care about. I want to have a family with you and watch Sawyer and Maddox grow up with you 💖 I want you on your good days, sick days, and days where you don't feel like anything's worth it anymore. I just want you, forever and always 💖 The distance between us now won't last forever, and I'm willing to wait for you however long it takes. I know we had to adjust and it's going to be another year of quick weekend visits every month or so, but we just have to remember that it's all temporary. One day we won't have to say goodbye, and I'll get to wake up next to the love of my life every morning and smile at how truly lucky I am to have you in my life ❤ Happy 6 Months, Beautiful.
