I generally take my worship pretty seriously, although I do have some fun and of course, a sense of humor especially with Hermes. But Samhain is a really special day for me, as it's the day I devoted to Apollon in 2017 and Haides in 2018. So I did a small ritual to both of them, gave my offering, and prayed as normal, and then I just sat and spoke with them a bit. I must have been too solemn about it because next thing I knew, Hermes pops and in jokes that the three of them are my Triple Moon Goddess. 😆 I said Haides is obviously the Crone then, but which one is the maiden? Neither of them wanted to be the mother I guess. Haides even got into a bit and joked that why did he have to be the crone? Lmao.
(This was after I'd been reading some discussion here on Tumblr about the proliferation of ahistorical triple moon goddesses.)

Wear more metal
Eat/drink fermented things
Stay up late – enjoy the night
Help clean up cemeteries – weeding, picking up garbage, leaving fresh flowers, etc.
Get jewelry/crystals like obsidian, smoky quartz, garnet, etc.
Burn a candle, remember those who died unjustly
Use more vinegar – get red wine vinaigrette the next time you have a salad
Go searching for animal bones or fossils
Drink some mint tea
Offer coins/a few dollars to those who need it
Sit on the edge and observe
Bring flowers or a nice card for the people who work in hospice care
Start saving your spare change
Do your assigned tasks to the fullest of your ability (even if they suck)
Wear deep reds and blacks
Learn to keep your emotions in check and stay collected, when needed
Drink black coffee
Spend more time in the shade
Make responsible choices, even if they seem boring
Pay for someone’s meal
Volunteer at a nursing home
Learn CPR and the Heimlich maneuver

Support someone who needs to put a pet down, in whatever form that takes

Didn’t get to do much for Hades or Persephone today, mainly because I got home from work just before 6 am and slept until about an hour ago (1:30 pm).
But yesterday I:
Used pomegranate body wash
Gathered up loose coins and put them in a jar
Paid my bills (ugh, being responsible) a day early
Finished my homework that was due before class, and had enough time to even do half of what’s due today
Wore dark clothing for Hades
Had hot chocolate for Persephone
While I have time today I’m going to:
Have mint tea
Wear dark clothing
Finish my homework before class
Hopefully be able to write them letters - if I can finish my homework
Does anyone know of any modern cults for Haides? Any books about his worship? Blogs?
I have worshiped him for a while now and am devoting myself to him this Samhain, but I would love to connect with other modern devotees or worshipers of Haides. I have not been able to find much on him, ancient or modern (and yes, I know why that is), so if anyone follows Haides feel free to contact me.
Part of my devotion to him will be to form a modern temple and cult for him. I'm beginning to plan for that, but it will most likely be a while in the making. It would be nice to start out by getting to know others though.
