H: How would you describe your style?

Oh man. I guess it depends on the story, but I guess overall it tends to be hyper-descriptive, kind of visceral and emotionally-embodied writing? 99% of the time I write super-tight 3rd person POV in present tense, and I tend to focus on physical reactions to emotional situations and the dialogue/tension between inner thoughts and outward behavior. I also loosely borrow structurally and syntactically from writers like Woolf, although in the past few years I think I’ve toned down a lot of the bulk and heaviness of it, hopefully. 

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

I love to make my absolute favorite characters suffer psychologically. Make them uncomfy, Get them itching and prickly and anxious and terrified. \o/ 

W: Do you like more general prompts, or more specific ones?

This is a really interesting question, and I definitely had to think this one through, honestly. Overall, I think I like general prompts more than specific. I’m not a particularly fast or agile writer anymore, and I think I like to have a lot of leeway to explore ideas according to my own preferences and tendencies, if that makes sense? I guess maybe it makes me come off as a bit pretentious or closed-off, but I’m less likely to personally respond to a prompt like “Kylux: Ren uses an (x) on Hux because (reasons)” than I am to really feel able to meet and conquer something more abstract like “Kylux: rainstorm” or “Benarmie: loss.” Maybe it has something to do with not wanting to disappoint expectations? idk!

Yeah when I was like nine or then and started making accounts to things, saaristomeri apparently made sense because I was finnish and my name is saara. then I just stuck with it.
