at the beginning, talking about that night had been almost entirely off the table for jordie. but as the saying went, time healed all wounds and he had discovered that there were a whole lot of others out there with similar stories. it made him wonder just how many stories that made the news were intentional ( an unhinged and jealous man who decided to kill his ex wife, for example ) and how many of them had some sort of underlying supernatural influence that nobody would ever know about -- because how would they? anyone who talked about ghosts or demons or hearing voices in their head was always just deemed insane.

@gunchamber asked; how long ago did you create your oc? how did the idea come to you? (Anon asked this question too!) what qualities do you and your oc have in common?

So, I created Gemma way back in 2007 when I was 12, so sixteen years ago. Now, she didn't have nearly as much detail as she does now. But I was proud of her. Especially for being twelve at the time. The idea came from a group of my friends who liked to play 'war' when we would go outside and play. So we all came up with names and I picked Grim, and we all were creative people, so I came up with a rough outline of 'Gemma.' Then over the years, I began to form little ideas so that they could form a cohesive story. And what helped was when I met a friend named J (not his real name, but we will go with that.) He and I wrote together with his OC (aka Gemma's Jordan), and together he and I made this world for Gemma that made her who she is today!

Caroline could have done with getting away about half an hour ago, but Krissy wasn't to know. Caroline hadn't have known that coming back to Mystic Falls and seeing her friends getting on with their lives without her would have made her so upset. She had been getting on with hers too, just away from her home town and the idea was that Elena would go out to join her.

But now she wasn't..

At least not this year, and that was something Elena had waited to tell, Caroline in person. A brave move. Anyone who knows Caroline, knows that she needs time to process these things. Changes to her routine and plans.

It wasn't that she needed Elena there. She had Krissy and that friendship was something Caroline loved because it was something she'd never experienced. Krissy was cool, edgy even? but they just seemed to understand each other in ways where they both felt supported.

Caroline T R I E D to put on a brave face, she sat there in the grill with Krissy, Elena, Matt and the rest of the gang who were in town, it all felt the same, like she had never left but at the same time she felt as though she didn't fit. It was a confusing time, something that later on when she had time to process it, she could talk some sense into herself but in the moment, the minutes ticking by, Caroline's panic was rising.

She'd made a bathroom excuse, which is where she and Krissy were now. The brunette had joined her a short while after. Caroline didn't like to be vulnerable in front of people, Krissy had only seen her have a panic attack once before in the few months they'd known each other. Caroline tried her best to keep them contained and private, but with heighted vampire senses, sometimes it was pretty hard. Like right now.

"I can't do this..."

Maybe coming back to mystic falls was a bad idea all together. Caroline's life was changing.. she wasn't going to be here forever, she wanted to show Krissy the town and all her favourite spots, since she was partially familiar with the town and it was where Caroline had always lived.

Listening to Krissy right now would be the right thing to do, get away, maybe go back to her moms house.. or even Krissy's place, somewhere private and S A F E. She would confess to Elena later, all of her worries and doubts.. but she was rather surprised that it had been Krissy to who had joined her in the bathroom after picking up on the warning signs instead of Elena. That was just giving her more to think about.
