πππππ ππππ πππ πππππ ππππ. πππππ πππ πππ ππ not rest if they wish for a break or not. death is constant, itβs a year 'round job & has been ever since the dawn of time. & just like dying, nor does killing stopβthat was at least one constant of humanity. people kill, people witness dying, & people deal with the various aftermaths of it. just like life or rebirths, death is something of a sure ending with only select variants of it. however, it is odd that samantha doesnβt wish for them to leave just yet. usually, itβs the opposite. humans cannot wait for them to leave, to stop taking or not to take at all. ( one thing they do not understand is that death, the act of it, is unavoidable. it was written into everyoneβs destiny, the only sure thing in them existing at all. )
hand takes jacket before itβs slipped onto arms & adjusted. slender fingers, almost deathly pale, button the middle before shifting to take out a pocket watch from the side pocket. the ticking sounds as itβs popped open & promptly shut. β dying waits for no one, β they say, β the passings canβt happen properly without me there to receive them, you understand ? β blue eyes turn to focus on samantha. β otherwise, the souls will remain in limbo until my work is done. itβs top priority. β
