I keep hearing people say "trans and gender nonconforming" without mentioning non-binary. Why is that? I'm non-binary, but not gender noncomforming. For various reasons, the term has no relevance to my existence. Are they being purposely exclusionary, or do they not know that this term isn't synonymous with non-binary?
Some folx don’t know about nonbinary identities, no. In addition, some people might think that gender nonconforming is the same as nonbinary. Finally, some people might assume that saying transgender is synonymous or at least covers nonbinary as it could be considered an umbrella term. I suppose hope that they’re trying with the best intents and gently correct them once they’ve finished speaking.

Is there an alternative to Mx? Preferably something without that x? I don't like it, as my gender is not an unknown factor, it just isn't male or female. But I can't find anything else. I'd rather go without honorific, then.
Unfortunately no, not that I’m aware, but I’ll leave this open to any of our followers who may have a suggestion. Luckily honorifics don’t seem super common anymore outside of a school setting, right?

Summary:The human was singing. He was chained in this dungeon, same as Runaan, and yet he had the indecency to sing as if he were at the fair. Runaan had been quiet so far. Patiently waiting for death. There was no need to ever interact with the human, no matter how annoying his incomprehensible cheerfulness was. But everyone reached a breaking point.
In which Runaan learns that humans aren't all bad, Gren is too good-hearted to leave Runaan languishing in prison, and two elves and a human have to reckon with past wrongs while falling in love someone they would never have expected.
Comments: I really, really liked this fic. Runaan and Ethari are ace in here, but end up accepting Gren as an allo in a poly relationship. There’s a ton of pining, but also a really good look at the tangled history between humans and Xadia races, seeing past stereotypes, and taking steps to move beyond them. Runaan/Ethari/Gren are so good together, I forgot they weren’t canon reading this.
