Can you maybe say something affirming for those of us who have decided not to get top surgery? I want to carry children and attempt breastfeeding in the future so have decided to shelve top surgery, but sometimes this decision feels really at odds with my nonbinary identity. Especially since the trend is that people expect all afab trans folks to get it. :/ Sometimes I just don't feel valid as trans unless my chest looks flat and it's really getting to me.

You are wonderful and valid and you are not alone.
Nonbinary chests are valid
Trans chests are valid
Not binding is valid
No one needs to bind to be valid
Nonbinary presentation is personal to the individual
No one should make you feel like you have to dress a specific way to be trans or nonbinary
Medical transition is a personal choice - not a requirement
Top surgery is a personal choice - not a requirement
There are infinite ways to be nonbinary
Trans and nonbinary parents are valid
Trans and nonbinary parents breastfeeding are valid
No matter how you chose to present your nonbinary self, you are valid.Ā
