american university has two studies i really like called girls just wanna not run and men rule which bring up the gap in political ambition and the reasons behind it. he runs she runs is sort of similar and assess why there’s been a stall in representation.i also really like this article on political satire red brain blue brain is good too, i don’t remember why i ended up reading it, i think i had to cite it in a paper. but it shows that there are cognitive differences in how dems and republicans process risk. (this isn’t very scholarly but vogue wrote a piece about hrc’s female press pool which i was pretty impressed with)
