The two of them meet when Lui transfers to the new school.

He tries to ignore him at first, thinking he’s only trying to talk because of money or reputation.

But the guy keeps trying to get to know him, and eventually Lui relents once he stands up for him against some snob kids.

Eventually Lui develops a big crush, but boy would he be the last to say so.

It took Gabe talking to Lui to get him to confess.

He (male reader) and Lui begin dating, and it honestly makes Lui less grouchy (in Gabe’s opinion, but he won’t say out loud because Lui still is quite the grumpy dragon guy).

When it came to Beyblade tournaments, he was Lui’s biggest supporter alongside Gabe.

That didn’t mean he didn’t scowl whenever Lui was mean to his opponent.

Valt even becomes friends with him, which makes Lui both super jealous of said chemistry, and slightly confused as how would he know if his boyfriend is cheering him or Valt on when they are up? (Answer: It’s both)

Lui is very protective, and will growl at anyone who dares tries to flirt with his boyfriend.

Said boyfriend would later say Lui is like a dragon guarding his treasures.

Lui doesn’t deny, and if anything lets the saying run its course and get them their first kiss.

Lui is indeed a biter and a bit of a jealous grumpy boy, but he’s super sweet when he wants to be….in private (unless someone tries to hurt his boyfriend, then he’ll go full feral before crouching to his boyfriend and worrying to no end.)
