âSo, who did it?â Karaan points at the mess on the floor, ink and papers were all torn and spread. The Twins and the fat cat were all looking at each other, The Twins points at the poor cat who express its own reasoning with a discontent âmeowâ. Karaanâs eyes narrow on them while he rubs his temple for a short moment, the giggle of Leandra echoing in the living room.
âThose little voidkins of joy are helping each other, no surprise?â She is staying a bit away from this funny situation, even if she knows that the papers that are now completely black and destroys are her own study. Karaan takes the fat cat and puts it aside, knowing too well that his own children could be mischievous sometime. With a stern look, he repeats the same question, seeing now the two twins are blinking and pointing at each other. Leandra chuckles again. âAbandon each other once Father is staring at them.â She grins and shakes her head.
Karaan frowns again and expels a long sigh. âI am not raising them to become two little zhanâa..â He rubs his temple while his female companion arches her eyebrows, her emerald iris looking at him.
âYou arenât raising them to beâŠtwo what?â
Karaan chuckles. âNo worries, it is just the name of someone who seems to think that everything bad happening in his life or around him is somehow my fault.â He keeps his gaze on the two culprits, staying quiet and immobile for the moment. âIâll be honest, I didâŠa few.â He stops and seems to count in his head. âOk, I did a LOT of thing to mess with him, but I did try to bury the hatchet when.â He looks at the kids and sighs.â She asked me to, but now that I am back, he is certain I am the reason some troubles are brewing around him and his friendsâ
Leandra circles around the room, toward a shelf, pulling an old book from it and flipping a few pages, her gaze on Karaan and the two twins. While she was doing that, Marrick, the boy miqoâte, starts to scoot away from his corner. Karaanâs cold stare returns on it for a moment, making it silently crawls back to his corner.
âSo, I guess I understand why he hates me, and thinks that I could be entwine in everything that could mess him up, knowing that my family did a few things to piss him off.â He kneels and looks at the two kids, while Leandra reads her book. âOh...â She expresses. â I see his name here, I guess we will have to deal with him sooner or later if we want to make sure all of those things are subdued.â
Karaan nods. âthe later would be the betterâŠfor now let us deal with the rest of them before touching on that subjectâŠâ
The Medicus of the Empire approaches the two culprits and kneels near them, smiling at them.â So? who is to blame for the lost of my papers, little voidkins of joy?â The twins point at each other, once again. âYeahâŠshifting blame to someone else, they are really your kids, Karaan.â
