Se cerchiamo il modo di nasconderci dietro formule intellettuali, dietro idee, slogan, cioè se mentiamo in ogni istante con la massima raffinatezza, siamo condannati all'infelicità. Se tutto quello che vogliamo fare è sempre solo tiepido, sempre fino a un certo punto, sempre «come gli altri», sempre per essere accettati, siamo condannati all'infelicità. Ma se - paradossalmente - si tende verso un'altra direzione, a un certo livello appare la calma.

65. Performance pieces. I.E. Speak thru your hand to your thigh but not with your head. Or talk with your knees to something knee-high. Or what are your dog-like traints without imitating a dog. Or the delivery of a speech to an imaginary person in different spaces in a room. Do a series of artificial voices. Can the various positions of the hand change the resonance of the voice?
