So... I was in Switzerland last week and unavoidably set foot into a Migros... And went straight to see if they had those special ring book inlays. Sadly, suitcase space was limited so I couldn't try them out for myself...
Well, if you're located anywhere from which it's possible to order online from Migros, you might look into that. (They're a hundred years old now: isn't that amazing?)
The thing that's a bit sad (besides that you had no room to bring anything home) is that the paper's significantly declined in weight over the years, as you can see from the labeling—
(sigh) This means, among other things, that it's not as resistant to fountain pen ink bleeding through as it used to be. But (shrug) what can you do. I've got at least a couple more pads of the oldest-vintage stuff tucked away in my workspace, and I don't go through it at all quickly: so I suspect what I have will last me a good while yet.
Meanwhile, I hope you've got a little room to work with in the suitcase the next time you pass that way!—as even the lighter paper's really pleasant to work with.
