Itâs @greymichaelaâs bday and listen I was going to send you an ask full of these and then decided⌠nah, letâs just do a post.
So to start: images/ vids of goalies Iâve nicked from elsewhere and saved on my phone For Reasons:
Now we have: these were my local boys and I loved them very much:
I have so many little vids of Wolf and Pelletier hugs. It was the best. Thereâs one somewhere on my phone if Pelletier just like⌠full on lifting and wrapping his legs around Wolf. And there at the bottom is Gillies, who was Tall but had a surprisingly soft voice. Did he make me want to tear my hair out during games regularly? Yes. Did I love our team goalie anyway? Of course. đ

(Public is fine) Molly, Mile Magnificent came up on my Spotify a few weeks ago and I was like "who is this angel with the dreamy molasses voice" and the shock when I realized it was you, well. It's just a funny little jolt every time I hear it on my writing playlist, because that is a person I've spoken to, who is part of my reality, who's funny and kind and vulnerable and brave, and it just makes me smile every time. Thank you for existing.
ahh gosh. thanks babe. if i were do redo it i would make myself one of those singers who has a band name even though theyâre only one person and i would be called Dreamy Molasses. imagine how good it would be to make everyone call me âdreamyâ in interviews (iâve given exactly 1 interview).Â
1. First impression: Writes amazing things that are somehow all of my interests/fandoms

4. Have you ever made me laugh: Wayyy too many times to count. Your tags always give me life.
5. Have you ever made me mad:Â in a serious way, no. As a writer who likes to subject my heart through terrible, terrible angst, yes.
6. Best feature: Your hair is always on point. And for a less superficial answer: Your ability to create rich and vibrant characters that are so compelling.
7. Have I ever had a crush on you: I don't do crushes per se, but before we started talking, I spent months absolutely obsessed with you and too scared to go off anon.
8. Youâre my: hero. I wanna be as cool as you when I become an adultier adult. đ
I would accept nothing less then as sleazily as possible
1. First impression: i had read some of your fic and was a little intimidated by you actually!!!! (not SUPER, just because when i followed you i was pretty new in the hockey fandom)

Do you like reading? Do you like hockey? Do you like gay romance? Well, have I got the thing for you!Â
https://greymichaela.tumblr.com/WritingÂ
That there link takes you to the most wonderful queer hockey romance novels I have ever had the pleasure to read. Under this read more are my reviews for four of them (I havenât read the fifth yet!), and I will preface them by saying I adored them all!
Blindside Hit
If youâre looking for an incredible queer romance, look no further!
A beautiful story exploring thoughts and emotions and fears which are prevalent in many peopleâs brains. The way Michaela approaches the ups and downs of both emotions and relationships is beautiful. I cannot recommend this book enough. I fell in love with Etienne, who is very relatable, immediately, and then again with Adam, whoâs a sweetheart, not long after. The angst throughout this story hits you perfectly in the chest, and often throughout my reading I found myself fighting against reading ahead, desperate to know how things would turn out.
The sex was hot, the emotions heart-wrenching and the characters believable and often extremely loveable. I will no doubt be re-reading this book for many years to come.
Roughing
This book hit me right in the emotions. Saint is such an incredible, nuanced character, and as someone with anxiety I found him incredibly relatable. The development of the dynamic between Saint and Carmine had me holding my breath at times, and I loved the fact that (without spoiling too much) it wasnât all smooth sailing, in fact the seas were rather rough. Once again, I fully recommend this book, and the others in Michaelaâs hockey romance series. They are so worth it!
Also, Kasha is my son now, I am adopting him.
Power play
All I wanted to do throughout reading this book was give Gunner a big cuddle. Another beautiful, emotional story from an incredible author. The characterisation is fantastic, and I simply adore Michaelaâs writing style. I have never read a book about (spoiler!!!) a man suddenly becoming a single father like this, and as Iâm not a huge fan of kids in real life, I was apprehensive that I wouldnât enjoy the storyline, but let me tell you in no uncertain terms, I absolutely loved the plot! I also loved the child, Olivia.
Possibly my favourite thing about this book, however, is the way that Gunnerâs past mistakes and experiences shape him and affect his relationships. Please, buy this book! Itâs an incredible read, well worth it!
Odd man rush
I read this book in one sitting. And by that, I mean I sat down to start reading and simply couldnât move until I finished. I thought this was such a beautiful exploration of various sexualities and relationships. I have already read it again, and I think Eli is possibly my favourite of all of Michaelaâs characters. I genuinely cannot recommend Michaelaâs books enough. As soon as I started reading I was hooked and couldnât put them down.
