I have yet to see and Diego and Hot pants interaction but from what I've seen and piece together my self my best guess is that Diego thinks he's entering a toxic yaoi situation and then when he realizes Hot pants is a woman he just skips over the fact he could be possibly straight and just immediately asks himself "AM I A WOMAN TOO!??!?"

Diego Brando and (mostly) Hot Pants drabble
A/N: I'm obsessed with Dinopants and JoGyro. im actually so excited for steel ball run to be animated. the opening will be peak, trust. So, obviously, when Hot Pants gets mad, she starts cussing people out. Violently. No hesitation, either. She will start calling them profanities so niche that even somebody who's fluent in Italian will sometimes have no clue what she's talking about. And even worse, when she's properly mad or frustrated, she'll start asking god to smite them. And for those of you who don't know, 'God' in Italian is Dio. You can see where this is going. Every time, without hesitation, when this happens Diego with fully turn around, and give out a really offended "What?! What do you want from me?!". Which, to nobody's surprise makes her angrier. So they both just get stuck in a cycle of Hot Pants asking for Diego to be killed, and Diego just being frustrated she keep saying his name. Not only this, but if Diego ever asks Hot Pants to call him Dio, she will stare at him for a minute, then just go "No. That's not happening. Ever." And Diego, the monolingual brit he is, will just be so confused.
