New idea: serial killer tim au.
Hear me out… we know Tim is a phenomenal actor, he can pretty much flawlessly impersonate Jack. We also know that he has at least a little bloodlust in him. And so few fics really focus on the darkness in Tim, that potential to be a monster.
I’m not saying he needs to be full on Hannibal Lecter levels of manipulative and puppet master-y. But I think he could absolutely put on a perfect mask and play the poor, anxious fool. Serial killer Tim is calculating, he’s not entirely incapable of love or relationships, but many of the relationships he has are strategic or for show. He’s well liked in the community, has a blue or white collar job. People trust him implicitly, they let their guard down and it’s that trust that gets them killed when they get on his bad side. The fbi has no real leads because Tim is smart. He doesn’t go after his community, unless he can distance himself from that person and stay out of the suspect pool, he polices his crime scenes, keeps biological evidence and prints off the scene, and he’s just non-descript enough to not be noticed or remembered by the few witnesses who may see him interacting with a victim.
Tim uses his acting skills to lure his victims away, he can easily make you pity, desire, trust ect him. He doesn’t usually honey trap but he’s not above it. He’s adept with drugs and physically fairly strong as well.
Maybe we see Rhys or Jack as the fbi agent trying to catch him, who interview him as a witness and befriend him, not knowing who they’re cuddling up to. Maybe Tim corrupts them, unleashes the vicious little killer inside.
