The X-files did a faux crossover with the popular reality show Cops. The episode X-Cops first aired on February 20, 2000. They even used the Cops theme and filmed the episode in the hand held style of Cops as well as filmed on video tape. The episode also had significantly less edits and long takes to match the style of the reality show. Because of the "live" feel of the episode, it stands out with not having a Mark Snow score in the background. ("X-Cops", X-Files, TV Event)
Dissatisfaction with Trump and his MAGA party is showing in Indiana, too, where administration officials have put extraordinary pressure on state legislators to redistrict the state to try to net the Republicans more seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. On Wednesday, November 26, Andy East of the Indianapolis Daily Journal reported on Indiana state senator Greg Walker, a Republican who is standing firm on his refusal to vote in favor of redistricting. “I was taught as a child the difference between right and wrong,” Walker told The (Columbus) Republic, “and this is just wrong on so many levels.”
Walker said Trump invited him for an Oval Office visit on November 19. Walker declined, suggesting the invitation violated the Hatch Act, which prohibits federal employees from using public resources for partisan purposes. He said he would have reported the violation to federal authorities “if I thought that there was anyone of integrity in Washington that would follow through on my accusation and actually cause someone to lose their job over it.”
He continued: “How does [Trump] have the time to mess with a nobody like me with all of the important matters that are to take his attention as the leader of the executive branch in this nation? There is no way that he should have time to have a conversation with me about Indiana mapmaking when that’s not his business, for starters. But secondly, doesn’t he have anything better to do? I can make a big list of things that are more important for him to focus on.”
Mid-decade redistricting was “the president trying to save his own skin by holding a majority in Congress,” Walker said. “It’s so that he’s not impeached again. That’s all this is about.”

The results suggest that while Trump’s endorsement power remains formidable, it is not absolute.
Yunior Rivas at Democracy Docket:
Several Republican Indiana state senators targeted by President Donald Trump for opposing a mid-decade congressional gerrymander lost their primaries Tuesday, signaling that resistance to Trump’s agenda inside the GOP still carries some political risk. By late Tuesday evening, at least five Trump-endorsed challengers had defeated incumbent Republican lawmakers who voted against a proposed congressional redraw that could have helped Republicans flip two Democratic-held U.S. House seats ahead of the 2026 midterms. One targeted incumbent, state Sen. Greg Goode (R), survived. Another race involving state Sen. Spencer Deery (R) remained too close to call.
The results marked a show of force from Trump and his allies, who spent millions of dollars trying to punish Republicans that broke with the president over the failed redistricting push last December. Trump had personally threatened lawmakers who opposed the proposal. “Any Republican that votes against this important redistricting, potentially having an impact on America itself, should be PRIMARIED,” Trump wrote in November. On Tuesday, many of those threats became reality. Republican State senators Travis Holdman, Linda Rogers, Dan Dernulc, Jim Buck and Greg Walker all appeared headed for defeat against challengers backed by national MAGA organizations including Turning Point and Club for Growth.Â
The races quickly became nationalized battles over loyalty to Trump and the future of aggressive GOP gerrymandering. The Indiana Legislature rejected the congressional redraw in December after 21 Republican state senators joined Democrats in voting no — a rare and highly public rebuke of Trump in a deep-red state.
The proposed map would likely have weakened or dismantled Indiana’s two Democratic-held congressional districts in Indianapolis and northwest Indiana, potentially expanding Republicans’ House advantage before the 2026 elections.
[...] Goode survived despite Trump-backed opposition, while Deery remained locked in a razor-thin race. Those results could suggest that while Trump’s endorsement power remains formidable, it is not absolute. Still, the broader message from Indiana may resonate. Republican lawmakers who defy Trump on high-priority fights over political power and congressional control may face well-funded retaliation campaigns backed by the national MAGA movement.
At least 5 Republican Indiana State Senators who courageously bucked Donald Trump’s demands to pass a rigged 9-0 Congressional map by voting against it were voted out in the primary on Tuesday.
