Spoiler: [About Zack vandalizing the Employee of the Month’s, Vince’s, picture. He works at Super Club and passes Lon, who can’t see well, but works in the glasses section. Zack helps the customers well and meets up with Semi, the security guard, who gives him some muffins from his mom. Vince talks with Zack over the walkie. Zack has a clubhouse in the store with Iqbal, Lon, and Russell. The other low tier workers hang out there too. It’s in a space where they don’t store any pallets. Zack and Russell play rock paper scissors to switch lunches. Vince and his friend, Jorge, talks to Semi to find Zack and leaves after insulting him. Jorge isn’t respected by Vince, but follows him thoroughly. They find Zack and Vince talks about Zack being just a box boy and there is a hierarchy in the store and he’s at the lowest. He doesn’t even have access to the cashier’s lounge, but neither does Jorge. Glen Garry, the boss, and his assistant, Dirk, show up to gather them for a meeting. They announce that Vince is now recognized by the southwest region for having the fastest check stand speed record. He has been employee of the month for 17 months and when he gets to 18, he’ll win a 2005 Chevy Malibu. Glen Garry still encourages anyone else to try for employee of the month. He ends the meeting with news of a new cashier named Amy arriving and signups for the softball game against Maxi-Mart. Zack goes home to his grandma and when he suggests trying something that isn’t the lottery, she questions why she should take financial advice from him. Vince impresses the customers as he checks out their items. A woman shows up and says she works here, but she can’t enter without a card. Zack helps out and learns she’s the new cashier and she’s hot. They bond as they say the same things at the same time. Vince shows up and takes her away as Zack has to do his job and Vince is on his break. Amy has heard of Vince because of his speed record and he takes her on a tour. Lon talks to Zack about how Vince steals all the ladies and Zack has Russell help him get the file on Amy. Russell breaks a Butterfinger and gives it to the girl working in Human Resources. She trades the file. The guys talk it over at the clubhouse and conclude that Amy left her last job over a boy and that she has a thing for employee of the months. As they come down from the warehouse and the guys talk about Vince being an alpha male, Zack vows to win employee of the month. Vince hears and says it’s not possible. Zack gets his uniform out at home and sets up a timer on the coffee machine. Vince and Jorge check out the Malibu and Jorge wants to buy Vince’s current car. Vince is a bit shocked when he sees Zack arrive on time. Vince impresses Glen Garry, Amy, and the customers when he scans all the items of a customer within a specific time limit or it’s free. On his break, Zack plans with his friends to have a mess created and he goes off to clean it. Glen Garry smiles at him with the mop, but Vince comes out with a mop at the same time. They race until Zack crashes and Vince cleans the mess as he’s noticed by Glen Garry. Vince is given the star for that day. Whoever has the most by the end of the month wins employee of the month. Semi is the one who puts the stars up. Zack asks Amy to a party tonight, but she has a date with Vince. He learns that they are going to Steaksmith and he catches up to Vince. He pretends to admire Vince’s body from working out, but steals his wallet. Zack hangs out with his friends at the party. Vince can’t pay for the meal after seeing his wallet gone, but the waitress lets them have it for free since she knows Vince. He drops Amy off at home and asks if she’ll sleep alone. She will and he awkwardly kisses her. Zack returns Vince’s wallet in the morning. Jorge sits with Vince in his car and checks it out. Vince is selling it for $10,000. When Jorge asks to try it out or be given a ride home or to the bus stop, he is rejected. Semi lets the guys know that a kid is lost and Zack goes looking for him. He and Vince get to the boy, who is using a machine that

attacks them with tennis balls. Vince throws a ball at the kid and gets him to his mother. He gets greeted by Amy as Mr. Gold Star, so Zack wakes even earlier the next day and stops showing up at the clubhouse. Iqbal tells him to do this for himself and everything else will come naturally. Zack helps a lady with a coffin that she is buying and she brings up her compliments about him to Dirk. Zack gets his first star. Amy asks him out to drinks later. Zack gets dressed and his grandmother advises him to wash his balls and don’t kiss until later. Vince asks her out again and she says she has a date with Zack and doesn’t know where. Zack takes her around the store on a great date. Vince is outside with Jorge wondering where they went even though Jorge says Zack can’t drive and Amy’s car is still here. Zack and Amy go kart indoors, watch movies in the TV section, and play golf above the parking lot. She reveals to him that she has really large ears. They talk in the clubhouse later and she brings up her original opinion of him not amounting to anything in life and living with his mother. They then listen to the cleaning guy sing. The next day, Glen Garry learns that his older brother, Glen Ross, is arriving. He’s scared of him. He has a staff meeting and alerts them that Janet on check stand 3 has passed away, but they still need to keep lines shorter than 25. Zack volunteers to be a cashier. He’s given access to the cashier’s lounge too. Glen Ross arrives and noogies Glen Garry. At the grocery store, Zack bumps into Amy. She finds that he lives with his grandmother and his grandma asks if she’s the girl with the big ears. He talks to her about how he had a startup and lost all his grandma’s money, so now he has a lower risk job where he can’t hurt others. Zack accumulates more gold stars and Vince fails at a customer transaction. He hears from Jorge that Zack and Amy say the same things, so he tries it out with her, but fails. Glen Garry and Dirk try to figure out where they can put some pallets and Zack offers up the clubhouse. His friends believe he has gone to the dark side. They see him enter the cashier’s lounge. He has another date with Amy tonight. Vince talks to him and says he might let Zack keep his job if he gives up Amy and the employee of the month. Zack tries to tell his friends that he can get them into the cashier’s lounge if things work out and they don’t like him. Zack gets picked up by Amy and they go to play games. Vince and Jorge break into his home and change all the clock times. Zack comes back after a good time with Amy and doesn’t kiss her. He wakes up and the clock is late. He checks his phone and sees that the clock is wrong and he is almost late. He sees Vince’s usual drink in his home and knows what happened. He rushes to work and gets there right on time, but can’t find his time card. Vince and Jorge celebrate when he’s a minute late. Iqbal shows up with the card already stamped. A customer needs help with a bulk item and it’s Vince’s car. He says it can’t be sold, but Dirk says it’s in the system, so they have to. It’s sold for $20 and Jorge gets upset at Vince. Glen Garry tries recruiting an outfielder for the softball game and gets Zack. Zack passes Iqbal and he reminds him that the game is the same time as the shift he’s supposed to cover for him. Iqbal has to go to his son’s championship game. Zack says he has it covered. The softball game goes poorly without Zack and when Iqbal’s section is low on customers, Zack leaves to go to the game. He helps them win. At the same time, Iqbal’s section is filled with customers needing help. Zack and Vince have equal stars and will compete in a cashier competition tomorrow. Iqbal is fired. Vince asks Jorge to come back into his life. Zack learns of the firing and tries to defend himself, but the other guys stop him. The workers go out to dinner and Glen Ross likes Zack. Zack’s friends sit at their own table and throw a lime at Zack. He goes to talk with them and they talk about how he’s becoming one of them to sleep with a girl. Amy overhears and
