I completed a grass monotype of Pokemon Sword!
I hatched a level 1 Lotad from Shield and transferred her over because I can’t trade with myself. I knew that I would need her against Kabu and Leon and boy was I right. She was the definite MVP for sure.
I did not always plan on using a Shiftry on my team. I was going to use a Flapple and did catch an Applin and evolved it but it did not live up to my expectations while Shiftry kicked butt. I just caught a Seedot in a max raid battle early on and kept him around for a bit until he shined. I benched Flapple once I caught Shiinotic because I knew that I would need one.
I did blow a ton of max revives against Leon so that I could use other Pokemon as shields against Gigantamax Charizard until it ended so that it wouldn’t one-hit my dear Ludicolo with Max Airstream.
