Hey there!! 💜 First of all, thank you so much 😍 The program I use is Photoshop 2021 and I keep it pretty much simple since I do some graphics here and there but I just know the basics. I mostly rely on the coloring, cause the rest is just cropping an hd pic and paste it on some background texture (you can find a lot of those on deviant art). You can also download a lot of cool fonts from deviant art and from dafont. For the coloring I just.. improvise I guess ahhahaha Idk, I try different settings and see what works best. If you are interested in graphic, you can learn a lot by people who make colorings (which you can find on this site or, again, deviant art). When I first started, I downloaded pre-made colorings. What I did was looking at the layers they put and the adjustment they made in order to learn how to make one myself. I still have a lot to learn, but I have fun experimenting 😄

The internet. No, really. Anywhere on the internet that you can find images, I look for things to use. The majority come from Tumblr, Pinterest, and Google image searches. I am constantly collecting images. If I see something that screams Regina Mills to me, I save that image in a folder for her, to possibly be used later, even if I’m not making anything at the moment. If it’s a general image that just hits me in the right way, like a picture of a smoking gun that feels very Noir film to me, I save it in a general folder with a description that tells me what it is and where I found it.
For editing any images, I use Photoshop.

Are these aesthetics all for your fics?
Nope. And just to be clear, the aesthetics in this series are intended to be somewhat generic. They are based on common tropes and themes in Rumbelle fandom, general fanfic AUs from posts that roam Tumblr, and my own personal interpretation of the characters. There is no fic written for any of them, except for maybe little bits in my head that I came up with when I posted them. Some are even straight out of canon and will have quotes and things from the show included. (A nod to canon-compliant or canon-divergence fic.) These are just intended to be pretty pictures. If anyone finds inspiration and would like to take up the mantle of writing one of them, be my guest. I’d be happy to read them. (Especially the Gothic Romance, dear god someone do that justice please because I cannot write historical AU to save my soul!!)
