Started using my planner as a memory journal and scheduler. Post graduation was a whirlwind from back to back interviews. It’s official I get to say that I finally signed an offer in my dream position. I am anxious, nervous, excited, and grateful.

What am I wearing: The most presentable pyjama like outfit I could find that was summer friendly.

Dream Job: No job is my ultimate dream lol... But I guess I’d like to own a big chunk of land that functioned as an animal sanctuary/vegetable farm. I also wouldn’t mind being a yoga teacher or a sex educator for adults.   

Dream Trip: Stay-cation. I am so burned out, I just want my bed. 

Play any instruments?: I have played a few as a kid - guitar, drums, and voice. I am bad at all three (haha!). 

Languages: English + laughable French + laughable Dutch.

Favorite food: My favorite food is vegan Chinese food from Wei’s Noodle House in Ottawa.

Favorite song: Right now it’s Too Much by Carly Rae Jepsen.

Random fact: I just got back from a tech conference in San Francisco, while I was there I went to an antique vibrator museum.

So I said, “I don’t know, actually. Huh. Does something for the vacuum, I think.”

And we tried to look it up but we were doing microscopy and it wasn’t the first Google result so I set that issue on the backburner. So, this evening I looked it up on a few different sources and all the REUs that were there for the TEM session the answer.

I hope that is a good mentoring. 

And the other great thing is sometimes they ask questions about things I had just...accepted. Put the liquid nitrogen in the dewar for the cold finger. The TEM likes that. And I hadn’t really put much thought into why and younger students come in and point that out to me and that’s cool. 

Back at it again: Uni started out smooth but with major anxieties ( can’t help that).
