You should read the graphic novel! I own it, and it’s excellent.
sigh...I know...
I've leafed through it in the store, and it seems amazing. I'm lazy and cheap.
Thanks for your input, y'all!

I only did that when I was trying to get a much deserved raise. I actually told them I had to have a raise or would be quitting. They tried to call my bluff and I put in my notice and left.

I’ve done it both ways and I def would not tell an employer that I am looking for another job. Unless you can use it as leverage for a promotion you really want, keep your intentions to yourself.

I’ve never told an employer that I was looking for work elsewhere. I would recommend not doing so until you’ve got another job offer.

I wouldn’t tell them until you’ve secured employment elsewhere and are ready to work a notice. The company might be great but your boss is not and she could make your remaining time there miserable. Opinion only, 2 cents, yadda yadda :) hugs!

Yeah, don’t say anything beforehand. My husband and I have only told employers afterward that we were leaving. I think it just causes bad blood and awkwardness otherwise.

I wouldn’t say anything the way the economy is these days. I would wait for an offer then tell your current employer. If they want you to stay they may fight for you!
I guess it's unanimous. I've never said anything about wanting to leave other positions but I've never really cared, either. By the time I was ready to leave, I was ready to leave. This is a good group of people who I will let down because one person is a dick. But there's not much I can do about that. If there was, I wouldn't want to leave in the first place.

You are losing followers and I am gaining them. You should try being a lesbian.
