Gwen Thompson: Gwen would ABSOLUTELY gravitate towards Nellie for theee most obvious reasons. She might also like the quiet and musical Josefina, and I can see her opposites-attract really liking Rebecca. Full-lineup, she'd probably LOVE Claudie to death. Also Melody.

Sonali Matthews: I can absolutely see Sonali loving Molly, Ivy and Rebecca and their fierce, look-at-me energies. She would also love the more sporty Julie, especially with Julie's sixth book having her learn to stand up to bullies for her friend; I can see her and the gang excitedly talking about the book over a girls' night sleepover. Full lineup, she'd absolutely be a Cécile and Nanea girlie.

Lanie Holland: As an outdoorsy girl, Lanie would probably be mainly interested in Kirsten and Kaya. Maybe Kit and Josefina, but she would probably like the stories of Kirsten and Kaya living off the land. With the full lineup released, she'd probably be obsessed with Maryellen. While she's not super outdoorsy, she has the same excitable middle-kid-energy that Lanie does, and she'd probably love Maryellen's science focus.

Kanani Akina: Marie-Grace and Cécile would be released midway through Kanani's year. I think Kanani would actually love Marie-Grace and Josefina; both girls love to care for other people, while Josefina also has a deep love of her home and Marie-Grace gets to learn how to find herself in a brand new place. However, I think mainly she'd be an Addy girl, with her love for her family and friends, fight to find her own home in such a difficult time, and kind and caring personality. She would probably also like Ruthie and Nellie for their friendship-focus, Kaya for her animal-loving personality, and Kit for her journalism interest. With the full line-up, she'd obviously love Hawai'ian Nanea and her relatable collection, and would absolutely at least buy her shave ice accessories; I can also see her really liking Melody.

McKenna Brooks: Caroline would be released during McKenna's year, and I can see McKenna really liking her personality and fight to keep her family together. She would ABSOLUTELY be an Ivy girl mainly, gymnasts stick together after all! She'd probably also like Julie, Kaya and Felicity; with the full-lineup, she'd probably also like Nikki, but she's mainly into Ivy.

Saige Copeland: Artistic and quiet Saige would absolutely adore Josefina, especially with her love of animals and wish to belong. She would probably really like Samantha and Nellie, but I think she'd also be a Marie-Grace and Cécile fan. I can see her getting a Cécile and Tessa getting a Marie-Grace, so they could match. And of course she'd like Felicity the Horse Girl™! With the full lineup, she probably would also like Isabel's artistic nature and how she figures out her friendships.

Isabelle Palmer: Another girl who'd love Marie-Grace and Cécile, but I think she'd mainly love Elizabeth and her fancy outfits. For the same reasoning I can see her liking Samantha, but I also see her liking Addy and Josefina and sewing them their own outfits. And of course, with the full lineup she'd adore Isabel. They're practically the same person!

Grace Thomas: Maryellen would be released late in Grace's year. With Grace's love of French culture, she's once again someone who would love MG and Céce. While you'd think she'd gravitate more towards the girl who looks like her and partially shares her name, I think she'd actually like Cécile more, despite Cécile canonically being a shit cook. Speaking of baking, though, she'd probably also like trying to go through Josefina and Kirsten's recipe books the most, and she might be interested in the shiny new Maryellen. She also gives me Ivy and Addy vibes as well, and with the full lineup a bit of Nanea vibes.

Lea Clark: Melody would release during Lea's reign of GOTY. I can see Lea loving Addy and Josefina, as they're quiet but loyal like her, and they both lose a maternal figure in their lives (Auntie Lula, Mama) while also staying close to the ones they still have (Ruth, Tia Dolores and Tia Magdalena), which I think she would really cling to. She'd probably also like Ruthie, and I can also see her trying to get into Caroline as exposure-therapy to water-related activities. With the full lineup, she'd probably do something similar with Nanea. But overall, I think she'd be an Addy girl.

Gabriela McBride: In the 2017 bundle, Nanea would be released during Gabi's year. Gabriela would 10000% have a Cécile. They're both poets, Cécile also loves music and goes to fancy balls, and works hard to raise money for a cause she believes in. I think Teagan would be more into the tomboy girls (like Ivy and Julie, then later Courtney and Nikki) BUT I can see her getting a Marie-Grace so they could match. Just that her MG has her hair in a high ponytail, wears trousers, and invented iPhones, but Gabriela doesn't mind. She also would probably really like Rebecca the Theatre Kid, Melody the Performer, and for some reason she gives me Emily vibes as well. I think she'd also like Julie's sixth book, as a fellow student-council girl. She'd also definitely appreciate Addy's important historical story as well as love her determination to learn, and she'd probably get more into Addy as she got more into student council.

Tenney Grant: Tenney is a very music-focused girl, and I have a feeling she'd love Melody. Probably also MG and Céce, but I can see her really liking Melody's story, geeking out over the recording studio set, and going insane over all her outfits. She'd probably also love Rebecca and her ambitious nature, love of the stage, and loyalty to her family. In fact, I think she'd probably be a Rebecca Main now that I think about it. I also think she'd also like Felicity's classic collection (though not the 2017 barebones collection...) and again, she kinda gives me Emily vibes. With the full lineup, I think she'd also like Courtney and her collection, even though they don't have similar interests, and she'd adore Nikki the songwriter.

Logan Everett: Logan isn't really into dolls (not bc he's a boy, just bc he's more focused on other things), but I think if he had an AG doll, it would be Nellie. He's extremely protective of his brother and would relate heavily to Nellie's Eldest Daughter Syndrome, especially when Jenny gets sick. He might also relate to the girls who have traveling dads (Molly, Kit, Nanea), and of them I think he'd vibe with Molly the most.

Z Yang: Z canonically has a Kit Kittredge doll, so we all know which girlie she vibes with. I think she'd also like Rebecca and end up obsessed with learning about her silent film era, and probably also Maryellen and her theatrical persona. Give her a few years and she'd probably have a Courtney as well.

Luciana Vega: Luciana would probably mainly like Maryellen, who is into space-travel and science like her, but I can also see her vibing with Molly. When her family adopts Isadora, she gets extremely into Samantha and Nellie, begging her parents to get her and Isa a matching set. I think she'd also like Addy for similar reasons, admiring how she fights to keep her family together.

Blaire Wilson: Oh she is a HUGE Kirsten fan and is forever salty that she'd have to dig to find her collection on the secondhand market. But she's also SUPER into Josefina, especially since Josefina also has a baby goat. While she's a bit tech-addicted, her interest in both of these dolls has given her a huge interest in both of their time periods and thus she knows a lot of about 1820s ranchos and 1850s pioneers. With the full lineup, she'd adore Isabel, who also has an interior design special interest, and I can see her carrying around an Isabel doll as she plots out how to decorate a room.

Joss Kendrick: It's 2020, and Courtney will be released in September. I think Joss would have a TON of favorites; she likes pretty much every "tomboy" doll, but she mainly likes Julie and Ivy and their more sporty energies. She has complicated feelings, though, on Joy in Julie's sixth book; she likes that Julie stood up for her deaf friend and taught others sign language, but was a little peeved that Joy seemed like a bit of a plot device and "inspiration." I think she'd also REALLY like Nanea, and she'd be obsessed with her and her dog's dancing, especially since she likes to include her own dog in her interests. I can also see her and her cheer squad really liking Maryellen. With the full lineup, she'd 100% have a Nikki.

Kira Bailey: Kira is also someone who really likes Kirsten, but she also loves Josefina and Kaya for their animal-focus. She's obsessed with all of the characters' pets and is more into collecting them and the Coconut collection than the dolls themselves. Overall, though, she has to say her favorite is Kirsten just because of the bit where she decided to raise a kitten.

Makena Williams: Honestly, I think Makena would like Melody best of the historicals. She loves reading about the fight for equal rights, and relates heavily to Melody's outgoing personality. She of course also adores Addy and Cécile, but I'm sure she'd have a lot of the dolls so she could experiment with different fashion history. I can also see her REALLY liking Samantha– she has a lot of good outfits, and her activism would endear Makena to her. Also the "literally stealing three orphans" Queen behavior.

Evette Peeters: Evette is ABSOLUTELY a Julie fan. Like... her shorts in the Duster & Denim outfit seem eerily similar to Julie's meet. I wonder if Evette upcycled her pants? But anyway, she also loves Julie's environmentalism and while her parents are still together, she could relate to Julie feeling like her family had split apart. I think she would also really like Kaya and Courtney's collections, Addy's resourcefulness, and in a few years, when Claudie drops, she'd be obsessed with her.

Maritza Ochoa: Maritza is also a hardcore Julie and Ivy fan; she's a sporty girl, what can she say? And Julie's first book would really speak to her. She also really likes Nanea and Felicity, and Maryellen specifically in her play outfit (it's so cute!), and Josefina's relationship to her Tia makes her feel a LOT of emotions. I can also see her vibing with Rebecca, and when the full lineup is out, Nikki and Isabel.

Corinne Tan: I think Corinne would actually really like Kaya. She likes Kaya's relationship to her sister, her connection to her dog and more sporty attitude, her bravery in the face of danger, and wishes she was as good at navigating the forest (maybe she wouldn't have to be saved by her own dog then...). She also LOVES Nanea's second book, with how Nanea interacts with Mele AND, on a deeper level, how she deals with so many changes in her life. She vibes with Josefina and Melody as well, but she gets really excited when reading Courtney's series, since she also has a stepdad and half-brother.

Gwynn Tan: Our little psychic angel likes things that are soft and cute, so I think she'd like Josefina, Ruthie and Marie-Grace the most. She's more into the WellieWishers for *some reason* at the moment, but she's a little obsessed with Josefina's books and keeps asking Corinne to read them to her, and to see if she can find the songs referenced in her story for her to listen to.

Kavi Sharma: REBECCA. SHE IS DEFINITELY A REBECCA GIRL. Yes I know the Y2K twins drop this year but she's such a Rebecca girl it's insane. She also might like Cécile cause she's also a theatre kid, but MAN Rebecca has the perfect vibes for Kavi. After performing Annie, she probably also likes Nellie and Kit as well!

Lila Monetti: While Lila does like Ivy's gymnastics collection, she is 100% obsessed with Felicity and Isabel. She loves Felicity's horse-girl story and pretty outfits, and meanwhile Isabel has a similar aesthetic to her and also gets to learn about new interests as she discovers herself. I can also see her liking Maryellen and Courtney's vibes, but she'd probably like Felicity and Isabel the best.

Lanie Holland: Lanie is also outside, in her beautiful garden once it blooms, trying to catch a monarch butterfly on her finger. You can see her rabbit, Lulu, on a leash, as well as some of her wildlife set animals in the bushes and trees; up in the tree is the Carolina Wren nest from her second book, and on the fence you can see an orange plush cat, representing her neighbor’s pet. Hanging from the trees is Lanie’s hammock, with a small table holding her binoculars, insect jar, plush Orangutan, and laptop. Across from Lanie is a road with her camper and gear, in which are pictures of her family.

Kanani Akina: Kanani is on the beach, standing in front of her shave ice stand. Her lounge chair is across from it, with her ‘ukelele set on top of it and her dog, Barksee, laying on the ottoman near her diary. Beside it is her paddleboard set, with her monk seal beside it. Across from them is a small signpost, holding pictures of her family, Kanani’s photography, and posters about the monk seals. Her lei hangs from the side of the sign as well, and a plush rooster is underneath.

McKenna Brooks: McKenna is in the gym, with her accessories at her feet and a balance beam behind her. Her cast and crutches lean against the wall, with her dog lying nearby and her hamster on a shelf above, along with her medal. On a sidetable are McKenna’s homework books, and pictures of her parents, sisters, and friends Toulane, Sierra and Josie.

Saige Copeland: Saige is in a field, holding a paintbrush in her hand and halfway through a drawing of Picasso, who is posing near her with the parade saddle set. At her feet is her dog, and she wears her purse, earrings, and necklace. Near them is a picnic set, behind which is her hot air balloon. Across from them are several other easels, which hold more of her paintings, portraits of her grandmother, parents and friends, and a poster for her school’s art fundraiser. A small kitten is beneath the easels, representing her grandmother’s cat, and more balloons can be seen in the sky.

Isabelle Palmer: Isabelle is in her room, with large windows overlooking DC. On a wall are large mirrors and a barre in front, with her ballet outfits hanging beside. The rest of Isabelle’s outfits are on a table near her sewing machine, with her dance case underneath it and her Studio behind it. Her kitten is at her feet as she dances in the middle of the room, while on the walls without mirrors are portraits of her family and friends, along with a poster for Anna Hart School of the Arts.

Grace Thomas: Of course, Grace is at her iconic Bakery set, ready to welcome guests. On a table to the left to the bakery is her baking set, and to the right is her pastry cart, with her travel set beside it. In the center of the room is Grace’s Bistro set, where Grace is sitting at a table, with her bulldog beside her. On the walls of the bakery are pictures of her family, including her stepcousin, Sylvie, and pictures of her friends Maddy and Ella.

Lea Clark: Lea’s rainforest house is the center of the room, with her sloth hanging out (no pun intended) in the hammock. To the left is Lea’s ocean kayak set and sea turtle, and to the right is her fruit stand and margay cat. Lea is in front of the rainforest house, sitting with her beach picnic set and grandmother’s journal; she also has her camera in hand and several of her photos scattered around her, including pictures of her parents, brother, and friend Camila. More Brazilian animals can be seen near the house and in the trees surrounding, with information on Brazilian wildlife. 

Gabriela McBride: Gabriela’s Creative Studio Set provides the backdrop, as she dances in Liberty Arts. Her performance case is on a table near the Dance Barre, with her cat sitting on her chair and ottoman set. Gabriela’s loft bed is to the left, with pictures of her parents, cousin Red, and friends Teagan, Isaiah and Aaliyah. several of her poems are on the desk beneath, along with her accessories. Hung on the walls are more poems, as well as posters for her student council campaign and for Liberty Arts.

Tenney Grant and Logan Everett: Tenney and Logan are onstage, playing their guitar and drums, behind which is the dressing room, where her golden retriever is hanging out. Her and Logan have separate areas of the backstage; Tenney’s features her banjo, picnic set, and pictures of her family, while Logan’s has his own family pictures and drumsticks. Their performance outfits hang on a wall, along with Tenney’s music cartridge set.

Z Yang: Z sits at her editing desk, with some mini dolls on a shelf above her! To the right is her media kit, in front of which Popcorn is hanging out, as if she’ll be the next star of Z’s films. Z’s filming accessories are near the media kit, and to the left of Z’s desk is her scooter. Hanging on the wall, near her mini dolls, are pictures of her parents and Z.Crew, including Mariela, Lauren, Becka and Gigi. You can also see handmade posters for her stopmotions, Mariela’s band and Zeattle, with her umbrella leaning against the wall. 

Luciana Vega: Luci is outside at night with her telescope, looking up at the stars, with her robot dog sitting beside her. To the right is her Mars Habitat, and to the left her Maker Station, along with her Visitor Center accessories. Luciana has a corkboard with several space facts and pictures of Mars, as well as pictures of her parents, baby sister Isadora, best friend Raelyn, and teammates- Ella and Meg Emmerick, Charlotte, Johanna, and Claire Jacobs.

Blaire Wilson: Of course, Blaire is on Pleasant View Farms, holding her party planner and tote bag, which holds her flowers and iPad. Behind her is the Family Farm Restaurant, with her Restaurant accessories and dairy-free food on a table in front, and next to her is her Party Decor. To the left is her garden, which her pig, lamb, silkie chicken and goat are playing in. Blaire’s inspiration board is hung from a tree, with pictures of her parents, brother, grandfather, and friends Theodora and Eli. 

Joss Kendrick: Joss is on the beach, in front of her Volkswagen Surf Bus, near which is her Grill Set and bulldog, Murph, with life vest. Inside the bus are pictures of her parents and brothers, as well as her cheer team and best friend, Sofia. Against the Volkswagen doors is her surfboard set. To the right is Joss’s cheer stuff; on a small stage is Joss’s cheer equipment and accessories, with her uniform and bow hanging from the wall.
