Z: On a scale from âDamn Danielâ to âFre sha vaca do,â how are you feeling?
Blaire: In between âItâs an avocado, thanksâ and âHow did you defeat Captain America,â but as a solid answer I would say âI donât need no degree to be a clothing hanger.â How about you, Luci?
Luciana: Probably âRoad work ahead.â
Tenney: I speak many languages, and this is none of them.
Which Historical Doll each Contemporary American Girl would own
*To differentiate between Nicki Hoffman and Nicki Fleming, the former will be referred to as Nikki. Why 2 K? ;)
Lindsey Bergman: When Lindsey was GOTY, the most recent Historical to be released was Kit. I can see Lindsey being super into either Kit, Molly or Felicity, all of them have the free-spirited weirdgirl vibes that she would adore. Maybe Kit as a main. If she was given access to the full lineup, I think she'd also like Rebecca and Nikkiâ not just bc they're jewish like her, but bc Rebecca is a theatre kid (immediate weirdgirl energy) and Nikki gets to have the cool baby butch collection
Kailey Hopkins: When Kailey was GOTY, Kaya was the most recent doll to be released. I feel like she would be a Kirsten girlie, though Josefina is also an option; if she had access to the full lineup, she'd absolutely be a Caroline, but don't forget she'd also love California-Girl Environmentalist Julie Albright.
Marisol Luna: When Marisol was GOTY, Nellie had just been released, and Elizabeth would be released later in the year. Of course Marisol would probably love Josefina as a Mexican Historical Character and avid music lover, but I can also see her loving Kit and Kaya's tomboyishness and feeling connected to Kit's fear of losing her home; she might even like Samantha and Addy, who had to move to new places in their stories. Overall, though, I think she'd like Molly the bestâ a dancer, a rough-and-tumble girl, and someone with a lot of spunk. With full access to the lineup, I think she'd also really like Ivy, Nanea and Nikki, but she'd adore Nanea and her dance collection.
Jess McConnell: When Jess was GOTY, Elizabeth had been released, and Emily was about to drop. With Jess's love of travel, I can see her loving Kaya and Kirsten, and relating heavily to Josefina and Kit's Youngest Sister Energy. Overall, she'd probably like Kit the most, but if she had access to the full lineup, I can also see her liking Maryellen, Nanea and of course Ivy.
Nicki Fleming: In Nicki's GOTY year, Julie and Ivy both released. I feel like she'd mainly be drawn to Josefina and Kirsten, with their shy, quiet and animal-loving natures, and maybe Addy due to her bookish nature. She might also like Kaya and Felicity bc Horse Girls, but also because she'd appreciate their boldness and wish she could be like them. ESPECIALLY Kaya, who also had a dog she loved (and had to give away in one of the mysteries). So yeah, she'd probably like Josefina and Kaya mainly, and if she had access to the full lineup, she'd probably also like Ruthie and even Nikki, who has her name and hair color, was a dog person, and learns to step out of her comfort zone. She'd also probably like Courtney, who is just as shy as her but learns to stand up for her friends.
Mia St. Clair: Ruthie released in Mia's GOTY year. She would absolutely love Felicity, Kit and Molly, they've all got baby butch energy. While she'd probably drift towards Felicity for looking like her, she'd probably click the most with Kit, who's also got a big brother. With the full lineup, Mia would probably also like Caroline and Nikki, but definitely Youngest-Child-Energy Full-of-Spunk Nanea.
Chrissa Maxwell: Rebecca released in 2009; while Sam and Nellie were retired that year, I'm just gonna ignore retirement for the most part as secondhand purchases are obviously still a thing. Speaking of which, Chrissa would probably ADORE Samantha and Nellie. She would love their deep friendship and struggles to be seen in a new place. She would also love Addy due to her second book arc, and probably any of the best friend dolls, but mainly Ruthie for her loyalty. Honestly, I think overall she'd be a Samantha and Addy girl ftw. With the full lineup, she'd probably also like Marie-Grace and Cécile, and water-loving Caroline and Nanea.
So the American Girl Virtual Store Museum has a room for each historical character (except Caroline, MG&Cece and the best friends.... wth) and it made me wonder what the rooms would look like for those left out.
So uh. Part Two: Contemporaries. Historicals here.
This got long so after Chrissa theyâre all under the keep reading.
Lindsey Bergman: She has a very artsy room, incredibly colorful. Her scooter is in the corner, along with a plush representation of her dog, Mr Tiny. She also has a desk with her collage along with her laptop and bag. She has a few posters/CDs of 2001 bands, and a corkboard with smiley face stickers, a flyer protesting the Pet Parade, an official invite to her brotherâs bar mitzvah, and pictures of her parents, brother, uncle and best friend April.Â
Kailey Hopkins: Beachside house, painted a very light blue, fading to reveal the light brown beneath it. She has a window pointing towards the beach, with seashells on the sill. Her snorkel set and boogie board lean against the wall, with her plush dog playing on the ground. She has her own drawings taped to the wall, including those protesting the mall development, as well as photos of her parents and best friend Tess. A wicker sidetable holds her accessories.
Marisol Luna: Her apartment room, with a window overlooking the city outside, and of course her iconic glowing stars on the ceiling. Rascal sits on the windowsill, with a long mirror in the corner, hanging beside which are her performance outfits. Her dance duffle is under the mirror, and Performance Trunk beside it. Marisol is in the middle of her room on the Spotlight Stage; aside from all this, you can see a few moving boxes in the other corners of her room. Marisol has pictures of her parents and neighbor/dance instructor.
Jess McConnell: Jess is outside, in the Belieze rainforest, sitting in her Tree Swing and writing in her journal. Beneath the tree is her motor scooter and helmet, upon which sits her monkey. Her kayak and gear are elsewhere on the path, and if you look in the trees you can spot her parrot. There is also ancient pottery, like the kind Jess finds in the book, with information on ancient Mayan society. You can also see a soccer ball and guitar, referencing some of Jessâs hobbies.
Nicki Fleming: Nicki is in the field outside her house, with Sprocket at her feet with his training accessories. Behind a fence is her horse, Jackson, and his tack box, along with several plush pigs. Nickiâs ski gear leans against the fence, along with pictures of her parents, siblings, and best friends Becca and Kris. Her sketchbook is also somewhere in the grass, with her drawing of Sprocket and the butterfly.
Mia St Clair: Mia is skating in the ice rink, wearing her accessory skates and meet outfit, with her headphones on and attached to her iPod in her hand. Against the wall is her accessory bag, purple ice skates, some ice hockey sticks, and her plush toys. On the wall are tacked some of her bedroom posters and portraits of her family, with her silver trophy on display.
Chrissa Maxwell, Gwen Thompson and Sonali Matthews: The girls are all in an open field, with a banner reading âHELLOâ as they celebrate their friendship. On Chrissaâs party table are her party treats, with her craft studio beside it, and a basket holding her swim team gear. On a picnic table nearby are Gwenâs violin, Sonaliâs phone, the girlsâ matching headbands, along with a knitting basket and half-painted pot. Near this is Starbust the llama.
Nicki: How does one turn their emotions off?
Z: Okay, so first go to settings-
Z: Iâm a fucking idiot I thought that said emojis.
Nicki: No, Iâm still willing to try this, go ahead, Iâm at settings, what do I do next?

Nicki: Luci, are you okay?
Luciana: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm good. Haven't slept for a solid 83 hours, but... yeah, I'm good.
Lindsey: For my turn, is there any way to get, like, extra radiation?
Luciana: There is no radiation in the MRI. But why do you ask?
Lindsey: Uh, no reason.
Kanani: Lindsey, what do you got in your hand there, bud?
Lindsey: Nothing.
Kanani: Is it a spider?
Lindsey: Yes.
Kanani: Do you think taking a spider in an MRI machine will give you superpowers?
Lindsey: Hey, it might work. He already bit me a bunch of times and gave me the power to swell up my hand.
McKenna: I love therapy!
Nicki: Really?
McKenna: Yeah. It's like a talk show, where I'm the guest, and the only topic is me!
