It's one of those hcs that have become popular in this fandom, but I have no clue where it's even coming from lol.
Like personally Billy just doesn't struck me as the type to sit his busy jock ass down by the end of the day and read poetry. Or quote Shakespeare. Or educate Steve on literature.
To me he just seems too... restless and impatient for that? Like he's more the type to act and not think about it rather than sit down and think about it (which is what reading kind of requires lol). And I really can't picture him as someone who would sacrifice his social life/activities just to willingly bury his head in heavy books in his spare time.
But I dunno maybe it's just my lack of imagination. Maybe I just like dumb jock Billy / smart but not booksmart Billy too much to accept bookworm Billy as 'canon'. :---D

Imagine Credence working himself up to confess his feelings. He *thinks* Graves feels the same, but is certain that he'll have reservations about a relationship (age gap, etc). So, he has this speech prepared, but when he finally starts, Graves just says he loves him too, was only waiting for Credence to say something, & kisses him. And Credence is like 'you weren't supposed to do that, yet! I HAD A WHOLE SPEECH!' & then 'wait, never mind, kiss me again.' And so Graves does (& again, & again).
THIS. IS. MY. FAV. Oh my god, I adore those âprepared a speech but that didnât work outâ kinda tropes, oh my gooosh. And yes please, let them KISS <3
