I’m so annoyed by the Arya/Sansa storyline atm, because I feel like if it had been properly fleshed out and written sympathetically,  I might have been on board with it?
Given Show!Arya has been portrayed as a heartless revengebot for a while, it could have been cool to see her struggle with that toxicity after reuniting with her family, trying to remake those relationships and failing. But instead they’ve rushed this weird storyline and it feels frustrating to watch.
And there could have been some nice parallels for Arya with Brienne’s journey, i.e. going from seeing non-violence/ stereotypical femininity as weak, to recognising a different kind of strength. I mean, Arya hated Sansa acting like Lady of Winterfell back in S1, and she came back after all this time to find she actually is - I can see rich material there, and I’m not paid megabucks to write the biggest show on television.
To me it’s a mess because they’ve built up an expectation of a heartwarming reunion over the course of 6 seasons, then after one episode they’ve ruined it in a way that is completely unsatisfying for fans of either character.Â
TLDR; D&D suck and should never be allowed near my faves ever again
