Genya and his ability to become demon in my AU
When his mother attacked, I added that she pounced genya and, in the remains of her sanity and humanity, at seeing his wounds, like a animal, she licked his wounds clean.
However, unknown to her, demon bacteria is very potent to humans, and could cause life long diseases!
However, Genya's immunity system was incredibly strong, so in defense, Genya's body adapted to be able to transform the DNA in the bacteria into making it apart of the immune system, but the bacteria was mainly destroyed by the immunity system, so this demonic strength and healing was only able to close the wound and clear his mind, before disappearing.
But for eating demons, regular humans would usually die in 10 to 13 years in time, but due to Genya's immunity system adapting, he will experience high pain, but his life is not shortened.
(Kinda explains why Sanemi was so mad Genya was eating demons. If it was canon ofc)
