Funnily enough I am a Jonsa shipper but I was shipping it after reading the books and it was considered a bit of a crack ship (although the fic was always top tier) so it was kind of overwhelming when suddenly so many people were shipping it! Have you ever experienced that?

I'm so glad you loved it, anon! It's such a good fic, and like I said, one that I revisit more than I revisit the show, haha.
I've shipped my fair amount of crack ships, but I'm not sure if I've ever shipped one that suddenly became super popular? I feel like Chrissy x Eddie in Stranger Things were one that was instantly popular, and were laid out in the show, so weren't really a crackship at all, and more bonkers pairings like Mary Pat x Mick in GG never became popular, haha. I think probably the closest experience I've had was that I was probably one of the first people in the Good Girls fandom in general, and when I posted my first fic in that fandom, there were maybe 10 other fics on ao3? It's still a small fandom, but it does have over 2k fics now, so getting to see that grow in real time was pretty amazing.
GOT wasn't really a shipping show for me, really though! For a show with so much sex in it, I oddly always found it a little sexless, or at the very least, unsexy. I had a few fleeting fancies, but I never really got into the big ships like Brienne x Jamie or Arya x Gendry, or even the smaller ones. I think it's why Jon x Sansa took me by surprise a bit, because I really did (and still do!) like them a lot.

Ah! It’s been a minute since I read anything new, and I never read super broadly in the fandom, but I will randomly re-read A Tale of Two Sisters by noqueenbutthequeeninthenorth alllll the time. It’s a jon x sansa fic, which I know isn’t for everyone, but more focused on Sansa and Arya’s relationship, and I just love it a lot. It’s better than canon to me, and just seeing these relationships evolve and regress and grow into something entirely new after Arya finally makes it to Winterfell wrecks me. I adore it.

Season Eight of GOT really was a dumpster fire of a season but the biggest thing for me is Sansa becoming Queen in the North. It’s more so the fact that after the North was declared an independent Kingdom why didn’t Dorne (or literally anybody else) do the same.
Yeah they didn’t take the time to explain the ramifications of Sansa becoming queen(i.e. other lands wanting to succeed from the seven kingdoms as well) because they did not care.
Dumb and Dumber did not care about anything at that point. They had been given all they needed included more seasons(the show could’ve just wrapped up since they were willing to give them another four season), but they just wanted to move on to Star Wars and their the south shall rise again project’s😒
The show suffered greatly in those final seasons due to their complete and total incompetence because they thought they were hot sh*t.
