Mitul despre Medusa / Meduza

Medusa este una dintre cele trei surori din mitologia grecească cunoscute ca Gorgone, care aveau un efect destructiv asupra oamenilor. În multe mituri, Medusa apare ca o femeie oribil de urâtă, cu un păr constând din șerpi deși, ocazional, a fost descrisă ca fiind frumoasă.

Mitul despre gorgone

Gorgonele, cele trei creaturi înspăimântătoare din mitologia grecească, era surori numite Stheno ("putere" sau "forță în limba greacă), Euryale ("săritoarea departe") și Medusa (conducătoarea sau regina gorgonelor). Fiice ale zeului mării Phorcys și ale sorei și soției sale, Ceto, ele trăiau în vest, aproape de soarele la apus.

Gorgone.

A lone yautja that hunted on those lands for quite some time. It is unclear if she is a bad blood or just a traveler that left yautja prime.

Due to her "snake like hair" and her markings that looks like eyes, she often got mistaken for the mythical creatures by the locals that managed to spot her. It doesn't help that she crafted her mask based on the pottery and paintings of gorgons she saw around. Most of her kills were covering their eyes in fear of being turned to stone.

She ended up choosing a stationary life on Earth, staying in a village that treats her like a demigod and protector of that place. Eventually, Acanthe will move in her place.

Gorgone likes to impress her with her trophy room and Acanthe can only feel pride in being in a relationship with a warrior.

Gorgone enjoys learning playing the local instruments, creating soft tunes as Acanthe lies next to her, polishing their blades. Although the yautja also has fun when self-proclaimed "heroes" come to the village to try and slay the beast. So far, no one won.

Her mask is made of steel, copper and she attached four tendrils, turned into a taxidermy after she cut them off from another yautja. She takes it off only when alone with Acanthe. She likes playing the demigod/monster part with other humans.

Acanthe.

She is a spartan woman who met Gorgone during one of her night swims. Their first meeting was rather violent, both coming out of the fight with scars but also a new interest for each other's strenght.

Her husband died in a war three years prior to meeting Gorgone. She has only a son, Phaidros, who is currently in the middle of his military training.

She can be rather strict and, at times, aggressive. She makes sure to stand on her grounds no matter the risks. However, she also deeply cares about those that she trusts and loves.

She has an inner fire that caught Gorgone's attention instantly (First time they met, the human tried to stab her multiple times).

She enjoys horse riding with Gorgone (though the yautja ride her own animal, Acanthe remember hearing the word 'Ra-taro', what an odd term).
