Bert: The Lieutenant, Toby and I are staying in tonight. Eric doesn’t like fireworks, so we’re trying to keep things quiet. Bri is spending the night at a friend’s tonight.

Eric: Oh? I thought she was over at Count Bleck’s tonight.

Bert: Bleck’s? Why would she be there? Isn’t tonight a work holiday or something?

Eric: Why Goombert, haven’t you heard- the Count is putting on a big New Years Eve event tonight. Bri’s running the black jack table, and she asked to borrow some cards and gloves earlier-

Bert:…..

Eric:…..

Eric: She didn’t tell you, did she?

Bert: Does it LOOK like she told me? (He jumps up and groans, running a hand through his hair) Of all the sneaky little things- I can’t believe the Count has my 10 year old sister DEALING CARDS!

Eric: To be fair, Castaña, I think it was her idea-

Bert: That makes it WORSE. SHE THINKS SHE CAN’T TELL ME? I mean, I wouldn’t approve either way, but now I’m just MAD. That’s it Lieutenant, I’m going to go get my sister and bring her home RIGHT NOW. (He grabs his jacket and marches towards the door, quickly looking over his shoulders before he heads out)

Will you and Toby be alright while I’m out? Need me to bring back any drinks or milanos or anything?

Eric: =u=;;;;; Just don’t cause any trouble, Castaña, alright? I’m losing enough feathers worrying about you as is.

(Goombert might be one of the few people who reacts well to losing a pair of arms. Go figure)
