It’s been 3 long months of first learning how to walk again, learning how to use my voice again, learning how to be independant and self sufficient again. Having a stroke was not planned or expected and after 3 months of disability I am finally done and starting work again next week (remotely of course). I am in my office grabbing my work rig and supplies for my remote work. Through everything my coworkers (work family) at @goodby_silverstein has been amazing and extremely supportive. They helped me get through an insanely scary time. Children from higher income families hear 30 million more words than children from lower income households by the time they're three. To close the 30 million word gap in Oakland and promote school readiness, the Bay Area Council teamed up with Goodby Silverstein & Partners to create the Talk Read Sing Campaign.
