One of the absolute sweetest, welcoming people I have ever met just lost everything to the fires in LA. He wasn’t home, but his wife and pup Tony had to evacuate. Their house burnt with everything they own inside.

Brian is the singer and guitarist for the LA band Good Terms. We met him at a Boy Hero show in LA and have caught his band each time they came through Phoenix. To say that Brian makes my kid feel welcome is an understatement. This guy goes above and beyond. The GT community is inclusive and welcoming and just so fun to be a part of.

it wasn't suppose to end like this.. on "good terms" if that's even possible. if good terms means overanalizing every word, every action. if good terms means second guessing.

you were suppose to leave me kicking and screaming. make me hate you. this slow fade is torture. growing further from you with every "how are you doing?"

i'm grasping at a slipping rope. the fraying ends burning my hands. i know it's bad for me. i know i should let it go, but maybe, just maybe that fraying, burning rope has been wrapped so tightly around me that i can't remember how to hold myself together. maybe it's been pulling me apart.
