Just, "You look extra pretty this morning." Or something. "I made you a sandwhich, please eat it."
Granted this only works in story because that would be a little creepy irl

Basic haunted house built over an old graveyard. Thing is, this graveyard was covered over with clean fill before construction. Thus no graves were disturbed. As a result, though the haunts may be alarming, they are totally benign.

If you are ever afraid of ghosts just walk around naked or semi naked! I do that and ghosts get uncomfortable enough to leave me alone :)
