They said Katya did not have a gun
They were wrong
She had Sophia
Hop hop hop into the Gonch bandwagon
there is a. There is a. There is an empty red letter on my doorstep. It seems to match the same red worn by all those who have died before me. I have worn a red shirt this day. Gee golly gosh this can’t be plot relevant at all <3
okay but i just finished goncharov (1973) and i have to say
it just KILLS me how alive time seems throughout the film????
like the passage of time is more of a passive abiotic force in other films but in goncharov.... it just feels like time holds its breath and takes this one moment in naples for itself, to pull in and tie knots in the destiny of an individual...
you blink and the dynamic between andrey and goncharov has turned a hundred and eighty degrees, you look around just to see who did it and time’s right there like a character in the play... and instinctively they all know, every single one of them know that they’re playing in the palm of its hand, that this is all a beautifully alive little stage set for them in the moment before the last, crucial second.... and they pitch time away and wheedle it from each other and try to find bits of it in madness and shoot at it but in the end nobody can escape it
so that’s what i’ll be thinking of tonight
this movie hit hard, goddamn. just had to draw some fanart!

I feel like Goncharov (1973) is the new president's shoelaces.
Goncharov (1973) is truly a masterpeice and we will never see another movie like it. The sheer pain you can feel during the main characters breakdown after he's betrayed by Katya is proof of how Matteo is one of a kind writer and his choice to bring up Scorsese to direct it was definetly the right step to take.
I can't wait to read this. Other than holding site for this photo, it's been on the coffee table.
