God-Touched (WIP Intro)
When a spaceship mechanic’s search for her missing sister lands her in the midst of a Biblical war raging across the universe, she has to grapple with space pirates, ancient demons and her own trauma to save the people she loves.
The year is 5027, and the only bibles left are in intergalactic museums. Which is a shame, because the next messiah is here and she could definitely use a guidebook. Meet Azrea Shore: a twenty-something spaceship mechanic who’s much more concerned with finding her missing sister than with saving the Universe. But when she finds out her sister was kidnapped by the Devil, it looks like she’ll have to do both. That would be hard enough even with a crack team.
All Azrea’s got is a fashionista angel, two alien smugglers in a beat-up spaceship, and a weirdly naive soldier who happens to be her sister’s girlfriend. Technically her sister too, but only if they can actually rescue her. This is going to take a miracle, and she’s still learning how to use those.
for today’s trick I tried to figure out what a Valdr empire city guard captain might look like. Still on the fence on what exactly the kind of look I want to aim for is, and which I like best so far.

Between The Stars Update!!!
The manuscript as a whole, including the scenes and chapters that are just outlines, is now up to:
22,167 words!!!
So excited to feel like I can actually finish this thing! I'm nearing the halfway point with Draft 1.5 now. I did a major overhaul of the first few chapters, so the version posted on my Wattpad is no longer accurate to the current draft. I probably won't start posting the new version for a couple more months at least.
The longform stories I've posted intros for on Ko‑fi and Tumblr are now available for free on Wattpad! I'll be posting new chapters as I finish them, not on a schedule yet sadly as life is hectic. All my work is free and from now on, always will be. I would appreciate a ko-fi donation if you end up liking it, though!

New Intro Post!!!
Okay so I’ve done intro posts before, but they were pretty much only about my writing. This one is gonna get into more who I am as a person before I start on the endless list of WIPs lol.
Aaand that starts with the fact that I’m not a singular person. I’m part of a plural headmate family called The Inklings System (our name is a direct reference to C.S. Lewis, JRR Tolkien and Co.).
The only three of us who write, both stories and posts for this blog, are Aven, Peregrine, and Elena. I’m Elena at the time of writing this, but any of those three names works for the online presence we share.
I’m 22 and traumatized, I do curse a lot and discuss writing traumatic stuff for catharsis on here, just a heads-up.
I mostly post about my/our fiction writing here, but there’s an occasional sprinkling of random reblogs. I write New Adult/Young Adult sci-fi and fantasy centered around humor, healing and heart. I’m a sucker for found family, queer rep, dragons, mythology reworkings, and “the mortifying ordeal of being known” as a trope, plus tieflings and similar non-basic non-humans.
