I saw a post that said, and I quote, you "actively harmed the post-finale movement" and I can't believe they're calling it "the post-finale movement" like they're Les Amis.

chris evans. mark ruffalo. the guy from search party that i keep posting about. gereon rath/volker bruch. jason robert brown.
Chris Evans: Absolutely I would hit it/get hit by it.
Mark Ruffalo: Maybe if I was drunk and therefore got over my dislike of Mark Ruffalo.
The guy from search party that you keep posting about: Yeah, sure.
Gereon Rath/Volker Bruch: Yes/Yes (I keep meaning to watch Babylon Berlin and I keep forgetting)
Jason Robert Brown: I feel like if I say no he’s gonna appear and threaten me.
do you have any more readings about sweet smell of success that you recommend
a couple!
this vanity fair piece is really deep dive into the making of the film - not so much analysis, but it’s really thorough
the criterion essay “the fantastic falco” is great too
but honestly i don’t really read a lot of straight analysis on films these days, so i’m going to instead recommend some companion pieces:
1. the sweet smell of success screenplay, as written by ernest lehman and clifford odets
2. the short stories of ernest lehman, “sweet smell of success,” “hunsecker fights the world,” and “it’s the little things that count” which make up the world of the film
not gonna lie...i would like to see jeremy jordan play mother's younger brother
i’d like to see jeremy jordan play evan hansen so i can just straight up forget he exists
listen... we don’t really want a ragtime revival because the fandom would be absolutely insufferable

16:Â A show that you hate to love?
Imagine if I said Glee, wouldn’t that be a trip. In reality the answer is Big Mouth, which I truly and profoundly enjoy. I’m a Missy with an Andrew wing. (Jk I’m the kid with the backpack who states subtextual things out loud.)
17: A show that you love to hate?
I really suck at hatewatching stuff but in terms of stuff where I get more fun out of inflicting spoilers on other people than actual watching ever gave me: this one is Glee. In terms of actual viewing pleasure, I loved The White Queen and Reign.Â
94: The worst acting you’ve ever seen in a movie?
Ben Barnes as Dorian Gray. Reeve Carney in Penny Dreadful is in the running for worst television acting, so there’s just something about that role that really brings the suck.

are you rewatching degrassi
Yes. One of my sisters messaged our sisters group chat about watching it and I got dragged into memories of my middle school/high school obsession.
ripppp
pumpkin, ghost
hey arielle!
pumpkin - do you think that humans are inherently good or bad?
neither i think. human beings are just human. i sometimes wonder if those categories were developed with the intent of understanding us in our entirety, or are more a classification system for our own safety/convenience as we navigate our lives alongside each other. the sooner u can identify someone/something as an enemy or an ally, the better, that kind of thing
i defo frequently fall into the trap of labelling people as good/bad but try to refrain whenever i can and opt for a mode of understanding others that isn’t narrowed by an attempt to classify them in any way, if that makes sense. its very hard though hahaha it will be some time before i’m any good at it
ghost - is there someone that you miss having in your life?
yeah a few people here and there. with some i don’t know if i miss them more or the time before i found out what was really going on haha. right now the mindset is people come and go and i try not to hold onto anyone at all
thanks!
I cannot stop thinking about the absurdity of a MCU/I Know This Much is true crossover. Which is dangerous bc I have SUCH a tendency to take stupid jokes and turn them into fics that are way too long but I simply cannot spend any more mental time with the Birdsey twins.
(Also if you’re reading my fake dialogue and pre-emptively canceling me, please know that it’s only from the POV of Dominick Birdsey who is toxic white masculinity personified, at least until he has more therapy.)
