Maironâs hyena Star, he a little shit donât believe a single thing he tells you
I should draw him and Mairon they cuddle a lot, at least until Star makes a really dumb joke (he can talk in Mairons head itâs a nightmare)
Star is a sacred hyena, Diivoâs animal a symbol of his everlasting strength and protection. Apparently that means they also get his snarky lil attitude with their owners đ
Ahhhh but look at heeeeem!!! Heâs so cute and little, look at his little teefies he can do no wrong
how do the gods in your story work? :)
| love you / platonic
SO:
POWER SCALING AN STUFF:
There's the main 4 gods
The Sun(Solaris), The sky(Caelum), The earth(Terra), and The sea (Pelagus).
these 4 cannot be overtaken in power, because they create the balance of the natural world.
How the power works in context of the other gods, itâs based on how many follow them as a religious figure.Â
The Star is THE most powerful god outside of the main 4 due to her basically keeping her followers basically immortal (they canât die of natural causes)
Iâll come back and edit this, but I canât be bothered to write more rn, but party on Wayne (PLEASE GET THE REF AND FINISH THE PHRASE)
So Stonebinder, an ancient demigod from the far side who is so old he's like a boogeyman type entity, now forgive me but i got infodumped last night while watching LoTR about maiars and dogs in that setting so i'll ask a bit about Stonebinder, you called him an "ancient demigod" which means i assume he's been around as long as curses have been, or something similar, but you said his purpose was to collect curses, was it a task given to him by a higher force or was he brought into existence by the existence of curses, what other kinds of demigods exist in atmos, are there higher beings than demigods in atmos, is he immortal or functionally immortal until he's killed, so on and so forth i could ask pedantic questions like this forever so i'll stop here
Aaaaaah no, keep the questions coming!! XD
So this is all stuff that I've talked about in the Discord server, but I haven't had a good way to talk about it here on Tumblr, so thank you for the opportunity to infodump like a madwoman :3
Yes, Stonebinder is an ancient demigod who has been relegated to a bogeyman figure in stories come present-day Atmos.
However I wouldn't say he's 'from' the Far Side. In a way, he predates it, coming from a time when Atmos was whole, and not split in two by the Barrier Cliffs. His ancient curse libraries are dotted around both sides of Atmos, lying abandoned, but not unprotected. A few curses still reside within them, active and tormenting their victims. Many have simply died out as their targets left the mortal coil.
Stonebinder is indeed ancient. Older than most of recorded history in fact, but curses have existed since before the beginning of Atmos. An ancient eldritch 'god' creature known as the Vow embodies curses, pacts and promises, and that is the creature that Stonebinder draws his power from.
you said his purpose was to collect curses, was it a task given to him by a higher force or was he brought into existence by the existence of curses
Oh boy, oh boy you have opened a can of worms here Peregrine, brace yourself XD I'm putting it and the rest of this post under the cut, otherwise this is going to get so long.
Irene, Aziz, and Kitsu are the most worshipped Deities
followed by Menphia, Kul'Zak, and Enki
Then Sabir, Esmund, and Verity
with Adalie, Veda, and Isana trailing after
and finally, Shad who is less commonly worshipped

sorry if its already been answered, but could you tell me about your Joel lore?
I've answered it before but i do wanna scream to everyone about it and have it saved in my notes <3 it changed a bit wirh recent episodes but it still fits >:D
(this is a copy paste)
Okay so lore: E2 joel and E1 joel are the same person except not in the fact that E2 joel pushed all his human self away in grief that everyone around him died, so that human part formed something else into editor joel (YES IM PULLING HIM INTO LORE YOU CANT STOP ME) Thatâs a reason E2 joel is so big on saying he is great and all that and editor isnât bc he was to weak to do anything when everything went to shit in E1,,, but after a while he forgot everyone his memory went hazy because he wasnât connected to that part of himself anymore⊠He isnât E1 Joel anymore heâs now 1 piece of a whole self who wanted to forget everything that happened in E1 and thatâs sadly includes the good things⊠soo anyway he thatâs my thought on him <3 my favourite god
CU CHULAINN - CELTIC HOUND OF ULSTERÂ
Thrice born child of Gods and Kings, CĂș Chulainn is legend brought to life. A warrior without equal that, alone, held an army at bay; a man of will and courage that resisted both the allure and wrath of the Morrigan; a figure of tragic prophecy, destined for greatness and an early grave. So many legends are there of his achievements they could be spoken for days and yet still more be told. And yet throughout his triumphs, his death loomed constant, foretold and certain.
In his early years, while still bearing the name SĂ©tanta, he was already an impressive individual, catching the attention of King Conchobar with feats of strength and agility. Conchobar invited the boy to a feast hosted by the smith, Culann. Left unchained by mistake, Culann's fearsome guard dog assailed SĂ©tanta when he arrived. With only his bare hands, the boy defended himself and slew the beast. Ashamed, SĂ©tanta swore to Culann he would personally train a new dog and would guard his home in the interim. Impressed, the druid Cathbad declared SĂ©tanta would now be called the CĂș Chulainn, the Hound of Culann.
This was the birth of a hero, but his death was yet bound in prophecy. Cathbad, the same druid that named him, promised a group of boys, âAny that take up arms this day will become legends.â Seeking greatness, CĂș Chulainn raced off to find weapons before hearing more. He saw years of victory, of achieving the impossible, of becoming a legend before him. Cathbad, however, was devastated, for he knew that those that took up arms that day were also foretold to die young.
i dont know if someone has done this but
