I seldom write personal stuff here, but I think today is the perfect day for it. this year was a disaster for me. my father died this January and I’ve lost my dog this December. I kept fighting with my mental issues and sometimes it was too hard and painful. I needed something that would keep me going and found it in Gotham fandom. not the biggest thing to help, I guess, but I’ve always been a fandom person and anyway it did help. I was able to survive the losses and I won the fight for my health. I managed because of all the love I was given here, all the friendly atmosphere and appreciation. I was very surprised and delighted to find out that my fics were so highly estimated, with me being foreign and not a native speaker. Gobblepot became a constant source of happiness and creativeness for me and I was lucky to get a chance to share it here. the show itself, its wonderful cast and even more wonderful fans helped me to carry on through this difficult times. and I thank them all for it.
personally I’d like to thank @gobblepotfans for letting me study Gotham closely, @gobblepot-art-and-ask-blog for her amazing art, because of which I began to ship Gobblepot, @millicentcordelia for amazing thoughts about the show and great fics, @sunlitroom for wonderful reviews and fanfiction, @kvintessenciya for beautiful and unusual visual works and for fanfiction in Russian language (god knows there is not much of it, sadly) and @thegirlinthewhitejersey for exact and marvelous comments, which always make me smile. thank you all. you are all truly amazing people and I’m happy to know you. merry Christmas, happy New Year and Hogswatch to you and everyone else who reads it!
