Glom of the Vine, the Vigilant Fortress
The third, the smallest, and the most curious of Mycelline’s children.
Taking off all too eagerly once Mycelline told them the land was ready, Glom went about spreading their spores, trails of foliage, flowers, and vines springing forth in their path. After their path had been finished, they weaved a web of thick vines and roots to support them up in the highest trees of what would eventually be their kingdom.
But the curious Glom could never be contained to sleep. Their spores carried a bit of a curse with them along side their blessing of life.
The Archaeo and any unfortunate lifeforms who come in contact with Glom’s spores, are additional eyes that the mighty spore bearer can see through. On occasion, it is said that Glom can speak and move through these infected hosts.
So they knew what had happened with Mycelline and Neocal, the truth behind the miscommunication and the extent of the greed of their other surface dwelling siblings. But the outcome was too interesting to allow the conflict to be broken.
Glom sided with Acos and Basidio for the battle, reaching their tendril like arms into the earth to scour for for Mycelline’s location while the other two tried to take down Neocal.
If the Vigilant spider found the mother, they did not say, but they stopped as something ripped the arms off of their body from beneath the earth.
At the time they had gone to blame Neocal or their people, but learned that at the time Neocal had been battling Basidio and their people were in the middle of recovering from the floods Acos drenched them in.
As the battles ended, Glom stayed in close contact with their people, giving them stories and information like a walking library. All the while keeping one or two, or ten, eyes on the area they lost their arms. After all, the Guardians had not been created until after the Great Wars.
