When I was growing up, we did not have personal computers, cell phones, video games. Yes, I’m that old. Most of my students think I’m from another planet when I tell them that. I was late getting a cell phone, 2003 if I remember correctly and, up until now, have not used Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat. I do love Facebook, though. I have found connecting with family and friends, that I haven’t seen of spoken to in decades, exhilarating. So, I decided to take a course in Global Leadership in Education. It’s so much harder than I expected.
I have spent a little over an hour sorting through my Twitter account and setting up Tweetdeck. Now, nothing is ever easy when you have no idea what you’re doing and you forge ahead to try and master the task. It seems to take me twice as long to get things accomplished. I asked a colleague to help me with the Twitter account, but I think my eyes glazed over during part of the instruction because here I am staring at the Tweetdeck screen.
