i am going to preface this by saying: i am not going for Olive
once again! not going for Olive! hence why i’m posting it this way! i love the lil guy and think mikey would be a great fit for owner, but i already have 3 wyrms and a necomora and want to save my (probably last) adoption for another cat or one of the toads.
that being said! the glints are adorable and i wanted to at least draw one before they got adopted out :)
@tamale4prez
glint lore for sos if i’m allowed (aka i had thoughts tm):
- they travel in packs, and are one of the few classifications of creatures that can pass through any/all rune barriers. ie what big mama has protecting the nexus watchers from the stray bits and spells from the fighters, or what draxum /had/ on the lab and farm to protect his family from the watchful eyes of outsiders. bc of this they where used to pass letters of all sorts in the old days, but seince they got even smaller this practice has been abandoned
- they, like their more aquatic cousins, love to hang around kappa and other mystic fulled species. granted this is a train found in most wyrm species but it’s extremely prevalent in theses little guys. it’s one of the sure fire wats to find a kappa settlement!
- the packs can get so big that they all blend together, like what’s depicted in this comic.
- they love shiny lights, and little olive was snacking on mikey’s nimpo after the light show attracted the pack.
- they all form superficial ‘bonds’ with each other, though theses are very easy to override as its more like borrowing your friends coat then eating part of your friends soul.
- that being said, and i’m gonna be real i was not paying any attention if they have a canonical way to bland w someone, bonding with a glint is very different then a wyrm. 1st off, they are much smaller and demand much less energy so it’s far easier to bond with 2-4 of them, ie the amount you would want for the lil guy to be healthy. 2ed, instead of amplifying thier bonded ability, they instead act like small batterys! they will store thier bounds mystics and hold onto it until a, needed for food, or b, taken back by the one who gave it to them. the mind meld ability is a constant though
- as mentioned above, it’s far healthier for the little guys to have more then one of thier kind if they are to be taken from their pack, and abandonment is near certain death. all other wyrm sub species can work as pack substitutes, or bonding with one when you already have a bound soul (not at all recommended, and highly dangerous)
- oh! and their favorite snack is any mystical product from a living creature, like kappas head water or ceirten sheep’s wool :)
Here is a bee from the Central Valley of California, part of Claire Kremen's 10 years study of hedgerows as bee repositories in industrial ag lands. Pollen-wise it leans towards composites, and, this is also a bee that can be found all the way to the East Coast... Georgia and North Carolina even. Small so likely often overlooked. It seems ditto-likely that such great continental spanning distances in the range of this bee might make a worthy target for species level differences, if someone had some idle time to investigate. Photo by Erick Hernandez. Ashmeadiella bucconis is the name.

Juan Olivares. Isabel Hurley Gallery. 2017 Málaga. Spain.
"J'aime l'émotion qui corrige la règle" gives title to the latest series of collages by Juan Olivares, technique in which he has focused his plastic research in recent years.
All his work forms a poetic fabric that questions the formal limits of the pictorial and its relationship with the space it inhabits.
Support, surface and space in continuous review.
The attributed sentence Juan Gris expresses very well the way of feeling and doing of the artist. The idea of transience, the passing of time, the emotional trace that some experiences leave us, uncertainty, chance and discovery are present in all his works.
Many of you know that Glints are unique in that it is difficult to tell the sex because their telltale rings are hidden.
But not to worry! I have a solution that does not involve actively agitating them!
If you have adopted a Glint from a rescue litter and are wanting to know the sex (along with what kinds of markings it has!) send an ask with a picture of your sona/wyrm owner bringing the baby to me so that I can use my handy gadget :3
Thanks to my special light, we can now see that Comet is a male, as well as his unique markings!
The markings will be visible for a short time after the light hits them, so when you turn the light off you can also see their color as well (before they fade back to solid colors)
Comet's happen to be a light blue, but for yours it could possibly be green, brown, hot pink, or other!
Again this is completely optional if you want to keep the baby mysterious, but otherwise I cant wait to see ya! ^^
