#nowreading The Dark Man by Stephen King. It's a short poem King wrote in high school that was the birth of Randall Flagg of the Dark Tower series and The Last Stand. So I just finished reading this and.......I loved this book! If I had been reading this in a public place I probably would have been hauled off to Repton (if you are wondering what that means you will just have to read the book). I had a maniacal grin plastered on my face the entire time.It is just so damn clever! Turns out that all the characters I found creepy during my childhood REALLY ARE CREEPY! There are so many things that made me love this story, but I don't want to spoil anything for anyone by going into detail. I found myself muttering the word "Ewwww" quite a bit but also laughing out loud (probably inappropriately so, I have a weird sense of humor).The illustrator really brought the twisted characters to life.We're talking nightmare material.I cannot wait until the next twisted adventure comes along.
