This is so true, and it’s funny because different players have different injustices/choices/etc that bug them. When I look at the scope of the game(s) I guess I can’t really be surprised; bioware has so many writers and so much content it’s only natural for certain themes to be inconsistently applied, or kind of shuffled aside until someone somewhere has a use for them. I’m 44k into a rewrite of my own work and starting to lose track of the big picture stuff, and that’s just a single person writing ONE book. Still, I’m definitely going to give Blackwall a good shove next time I have him in my party. 😤

I actually started reading Blood of an Englishman the other night and crap, I forgot how much I loved your work. Goddamn genius.
Thank you! After seeing the movie I kind of felt like rereading it as well. Actually, after reading so much fic, the movie itself felt like a strange fanfic in a way.

i mentioned it in the tags but the book that brought on that mini rant is More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera. and that book is just super frustrating to me bc it could have been so great!! a latino protag and other characters of color and the concept was cool and well-written and the author is gay which is usually a big plus...but then it had the literal most tragic ending possible and it was so fucked up and unnecessary. i mean it wasn't the happiest book anyway so i was ready for some sadness in the ending but holy shit i was not expecting every terrible thing possible to happen to this poor kid.
anyway i'm not trying to say no one can recommend that book or other sad books Ever but i really do think it's important to mention if the story ends tragically so that young lgbt+ readers won't be blindsided :/
