Tina had never been particularly confident, but after freshman year when she’d tried out for the Cheerios and been cut, she’d been more timid about trying new activities at school than ever. Still... she loved singing, had since she was a little girl, and the Glee club sign up sheet was taunting her from across the hallway. She’d stared at it every time she’d walked past today. She was staring at it again now, too, when she felt someone else nearby -- watching her or the sheet, she wasn’t sure, but she hugged her arms around her textbook tightly, the proximity making her defensive. “Someone dared me to sign up,” she lied, turning her head away from the sign up sheet and towards the other person. “But um, I’m not sure if I should go through with it or not.”
