Album Monsters 3- Glean by They Might be Giants
Further along the series, here is a monster based on TMBG's Glean. Love this album, my standout songs being Erase and Aaa! This one is based on insects infected with the cordyceps fungus, as well as elements from common forests.
[tmbg - 'good to be alive' voice] hello leg / do the stanky leg

they might be giants on dermot o'leary's bbc radio 2 show (2015)
are you still Doing this?🤔🤔 please do yap/sillygen
YES HI it took me a while but I'm doing it again
"Rewind the tape, review the blur
Never the same, but still obscure
Turn up the sound and hear the white noise
Stare at the static and be hypnotized!"
My favorite part of the song is actually when it cuts out but that doesn't have lyrics LMAO
AUGHH I LOVE THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS SONGS WHERE THE MUSIC IS IN TIME WITH THE VOCALS. Erase is like this too, it's so catchy, I love how harsh it is in this song. It really feels like it's stuttering, and with the lyrics contents, it's really fitting!
I LOVE WHEN IT CUTS OUT it perfectly conveys not being able to understand someone. I was in the car when I first heard this song and I thought the internet was going out xD
Obsessed with the lyrics, the narrator is trying so hard to understand.. but no matter what they'll never know!! I love the image of someone staring at a screen messing around with a tape trying to just get something understandable out of it
I haven't watched the music video / visualizer yet but I'm very curious!
