I have this core memory of watching Apollo 18 (really bad horror movie set during a fictional Apollo 18 flight) in a mostly empty movie theater with some of my best friends from highschool.
We didn't expect the movie to be any good, but our expectations dropped even further upon starting it.
The movie eventually leads to the "secret" launch of Apollo 18 (the real life Apollo missions were cancled after 17).
I can't remember the explanation the film gives for covering up the launch of one of the largest rockets of all time launching in its manned space flight configuration.
We were so baffled by the concept of a "secret launch" that we (and the rest of the theatre) were busy laughing about it right up until the launch scene.
During the actual ignition and ascent one of my friends exclaimed "NOBODY WILL EVER NOTICE!!" which will live in my mind forever due to everyone else in the theatre (like 12 people) cracking up for the rest of the sequence.
Idk why I'm thinking about this I need to watch it again with my friends to try and relive that moment.
To be clear everyone in the theatre was checked out of the movie, everyone was talking or on their phone some people had even walked out. Otherwise we wouldn't have acted like this. I need to see this again and see if it's really as bad as I remember.
