On December 31, 1904 took place in the The Metropolitan Opera will host a performance of Verdi's “Rigoletto”. Gilda sang Alma Webster-Powell (1869-1930).
She was a soprano, writer and politically very active. This was her only appearance at the MET in an entire opera role.
Their partners were Enrico Caruso as Duca and Eugenio Giraldoni in the title role. The conductor was Arturo Vigna, who conducted several Metropolitan Opera Premiere at this house.
